We're busy preparing for our next market - only a week to go before Wheathampstead Village Day when we will be taking part in the artisan market. We will have some of our new images with us so pop over to have a look.

Today is International Leopard Day, a day chosen to celebrate leopards and increase awareness of these wonderful animals. You can now find leopards in 63 countries across Africa and Asia, but this is a much smaller area than where they used to be found. They are suffering greatly from habitat destruction, with trophy hunting and poaching also being an issue.

They are solitary hunters, so in order to try to make sure that they keep their prey once they have caught it, they carry it up a tree before eating it.

We were very fortunate to see this stunning leopard heading off to find some food while we were visiting the Masai Mara in Kenya last year. The following day we found her back up her favourite tree with a young zebra, so her hunt was clearly successful!

Today we have been celebrating World Wildlife Day. It was created to celebrate wildlife all over the world, and the conservation work being to done to protect wildlife and habitats.

I took this on a visit to Kenya - it is such a privilege to be able to see these wonderful animals in their natural home.

This year’s RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch starts today. All you need to do is spend an hour counting all the birds that you see land – and you can do this in a garden, from a balcony or even in your local park. You can then send the numbers to the RSPB, to help build a picture of how garden birds are doing.

We have our final Christmas Market of the year on Saturday 9th Dec, 1-5pm at Woodhall Farm Community Centre in Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7JX. Pop along for a chance to see our bookmarks, coasters, mugs etc and have a look at what the other stalls have to offer. You might even meet Father Christmas!

Tomorrow (Sunday 3rd Dec 2023) we are at the Bridgnorth Christmas Market, at the Bridgnorth Rugby Club from 10am-4pm. Plenty of stalls, food and drink and entertainment available for a great day out!

We are really looking forward to a weekend of Christmas markets, starting with the Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre on Saturday. Pop along and find us on the Upper High Street between 10am and 5pm, together with about 150 other stalls set up around the town centre.

All set up and having a good day already at Flamstead Scarecrow Festival. We will be here today and tomorrow so make sure you come down for a good day out! We are near the were-rabbit soup scarecrow in the door of the church. Winner for us!

We are really looking forward to Flamstead Scarecrow Festival this weekend - we will be there on Saturday and Sunday with our cards, prints and gifts. The sun is due to be shining, so pop over to Flamstead for a really good day out.

Plenty of things to see here at the Dacorum Steam and Country Fayre. We may have the occasional shower, but that isn't stopping anyone!

We are here today and tomorrow, so if you want a day out, why not pop over?
