Badly converted vinyl to WAV pretty much drops the mid during conversion and compression and can sound so much better with better care and equipment during conversion

Are you wondering why you have to pay more for a WAV than an mp3. There’s zero reason. They (should) master to 48k WAV then downgrade to mp3. So in all truth it costs more to make an MP3.
