Probably doesn’t feel like it just yet, but believe it or not we’re more than half way through winter!
The good news? That also means the warmer weather is closer too!
‘Summer bodies are made in the winter’.
We’ve all heard this saying, but how many of us actually achieve those goals to get fit, lose weight and keep it off?

I often get clients and Mums from school ask me how to get their kids to eat healthy, nutritious food.
A lot of children tend to gravitate to plain, ‘beige’ food.
There are no tricks or quick fixes.
If you eat nutritious food, they will!
Here are my 4 tips:
1. Don’t use food as a reward... it could set them up for unhealthy relationships with food later on life.
2. Don’t cook different meals... kids should eat what you eat. Even as babies, you can give them finger food of what you’re eating- this is when they are most interested!
3. Try and get them to try 1 new thing a week. They might not like it, but this will help stop that ‘fussy eating’ stage
And lastly...
4. Don’t give in. I’ve heard a Mom say that she’d rather give her a child a tube of smarties for breakfast than her not eat anything! If you give in, your child will expect that every time they make a fuss or throw a tantrum.
Yes it’s lovely to be your child’s best mate, but you are their role model and their teachers , lead by example!
