Hey there! Welcome to a world of mind-bugging real life stories and experiences.....
Hello Friends, Welcome to a new month.
Today's story is simply to inspire and encourage our readers to always hone their abilities and believe in themselves.
SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND
Success in life comes with true diligence and hard work.
Favour, a 24 year old young lady was posted to Lagos-Nigeria for her NYSC in 2018.
She studied agricultural science and research, and the reality of landing her dream job after NYSC seemed very bleak because whenever she applied for jobs, they always demanded for 5 years working experience which she did not have.
After attending 3 interviews which did not have positive results, she decided to learn how to draft business proposals for small business. This brought her some small cash that helped her get by while she aimed for something better.
She took on a volunteering role on a small farm in Lagos where she assisted the farm manager in securing agricultural grants from the government through a well detailed documentation of farm's growth plan. A month later, she received a full time job by the farm owner with a monthly starting salary of 180,000 naira and a self-contained apartment. She worked there for 5 months and took on a higher paying job with a bigger farm.
In a space of 3 years, she had worked with over 4 farms, helping them improve on their crop and animal production systems while securing foreign agricultural grants and this led to a contract job offer from the government of Denmark.
The Danish government signed a 6 months contract with Favour, offering her a monthly salary of 560,000 naira and a car to take her around the farms during working hours.
This was a major financial breakthrough for her and her long dream of relocating to the USA came alive. She began her search for a masters degree scholarship in Agricultural management. After a rigorous search, she landed a scholarship at University of Chicago which came with a graduate assistantship role.
Thankfully, she had began to save towards this new phase. She applied for her study visa which was granted and paid for her flight to the USA.
Coming from a very humble background, It was a big surprise to her entire family because nobody has ever travelled abroad. She was the first in the family to take such a huge and life changing step. Tears flowed down her mother's eyes as she prayed for her to fly safely to America.
You may come from the poorest of families in your state, and it may seem like you are born disadvantaged but, you can always strive towards success in life by simply taking bold steps to do things differently. It may not be easy but IT WILL BE WORTH IT.
Do not stop shining wherever you are.
Hello Everyone,
We have a lovely success story to share with you, sent in from an anonymous follower.
FINDING STRENGTH IN THE STORM
University days were never easy for me. Like many others, I faced my fair share of challenges, and perhaps even a few extra. But amidst the struggles, I decided to finish strong for my parents and my siblings.
It was quite a chaotic experience but I took steps which helped me achieve my academic goals
I studied 2am-6am everyday, made my textbooks my best companion.
When I am studying, I always highlighted key points on my course materials with a pen.
I also created time teach others who wanted my help from my knowledge bank.
I developed a culture of reviewing past questions and when it was time for tests or exams, I wrote until I was satisfied.
I was not interested in impressing anyone by jumping out of the examination hall to prove a point.
I worked hard at understanding the core principles of my course of study.
As a reward for my efforts, I began to excel in my studies. Yet, success didn't come without its own set of challenges.
I'll never forget a day at school when whispers filled our lecture room corridors and my classmates' voices echoed with unusual intensity. Little did I know, I was about to face an unexpected accusation.
I overheard murmurs of a fellow classmate spreading rumors that I had somehow stolen their fortune.
She claimed she had visited a seer who told her someone in class had stolen the glory of the class. It was a blow to my spirit. How could someone twist my achievements into something so malicious?
Despite my attempts to greet my classmates, silence greeted me instead. The look on their faces was another story. That day, I learned that people will rather believe ''okoto meow meow'' than change strategies.
Majority of the time, people would rather blame others for their misfortune just to avoid taking responsibility.
I went home and cried me a river. Still, I refused to give up. I persevered, pushing through the challenges with unwavering determination.
I graduated from my class with a ranking of number 1 out of 100 students. No one could take that away from me.
So to anyone facing their challenge, donโt let anyone dim your shine. No gree for anybodyโฆ.
Everybody Come Outside Ohhhhhh
Today's episode of Love scam has landed.
๐๐ Another true life story wey no gree for anybody๐๐๐๐
FINDING LOVE IN LAGOS Part 3
So, we have Hannah who is in her early 30s, battling with the "time is running out" pressure from home. she had a stable job which wasn't perfect but it paid her monthly bills.
Looking at how she has being stuck on a job for over 7 years without growth, she concluded on a plan towards educational and career upgrade rather than get drenched in thoughts of only marriage.
She had attended several singles deliverance programs in churches to destroy the yoke of singleness but 'Husband' was not forthcoming.
She enrolled for part-time study at UNILAG and on her first day on campus, she met this fine bobo that looked like her celebrity crush 'KUNLE REMI'.
They exchanged phone numbers after a small chit-chat. He was into painting of houses and shops.
They were both Igbo, he had a sense of humor and to crown it all, he was her state of origin gan gan.
She invited him to her place for a treat, afterwards he expressed his desire in wanting her to be his babe because he felt she was the 'One'.
Hannah went to church for thanksgiving that week because God has finally shamed her mockers.
Dating started Ohhhhhh. He took her everywhere, introducing her as his wife to everyone. Everything was fine until๐๐๐ three months later, 'BRO' came up with a debt of 800K that he was owing some investors in Ajegunle and they were after his life story. He was at her place shedding crocodile tears that he was being followed and if he could raise the money immediately, the death threat will be dropped.
Without thinking twice, Hannah the "come through babe" stepped in without hesitation. She transferred the 600k AJO money she had just gotten to him and the foolish guy promised to give 700k as appreciation in a month's time from one of his painting job contracts.
Two weeks after, baba began to form busy and unavailable for chat or calls. She was confused and worried because she had told her pastor she would be coming to introduce her man to him. Anytime she wanted to visit, he would come up with excuse of staying late at work to complete tasks.
A month later, he suddenly needed to travel to his village to settle land issue
"Okay, when will you be back to Lagos''?
'' What about your business''?
'' My 600k nko, the money belongs to my contribution business''
" He said he was not sure how to respond because his closest uncle fell from a palm tree, was hospitalized and he was the one paying the bills.
His mother's prophet had also given him instruction to remain in the village till further notice .
His lies could fall down a mango tree.
Hannah decided to get to the bottom of things as she was exhausted of his constant new lies . She Travelled to Enugu and located his family house as he had mentioned his home address when they began their love.
She got to the compound and met him wearing only boxers, eating garri and bitterleaf soup, sweating profusely on a bench, just in front of the house.
She almost collapsed. As soon as he saw her, he began to plead for forgiveness as he didn't have her money and had to escape for awhile.
She was embarrassed at the whole scenario and had to walk away with her head bowed in shame. She knew she was not getting her money neither did she want that man back.
A few days later, she called him to end the relationship in order to join the ''single and available'' squad again.๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

FINDING LOVE IN LAGOS
Part 2
So, Lady Bee, a beautiful working-class 30year old lady who had given up on lagos men met a middle-aged pastor on Facebook. ๐๐
Oga pastor told her he had his own ministry in tanzania and from the videos and pictures on his Facebook account, the church was doing okay. Lady Bee felt she had finally gotten to her last bus stop as a single because man of God was also ready for marriage and mentioned it to her from the first chat. ๐น๐น
Talking stage was going so well, He had an American accent and he told her he was born and raised in the U.S. He also claimed his parents were pastors in the U.S too and he was an only child.
Man of God was a professional in calling and chatting for long hours, praying ๐คฒ๐ป and talking about their future together as a couple.
Could this be real? ๐๐
Lady bee cudnt believe her eyesโฆ โโ God has finally heard me oooโโ She thought to herself.
She quickly informed her sisters and mother that God has brought an angel her way. Not only was he an americana, he was loving and spiritual๐๐๐๐
What more could she have asked for?
On a lovely Sunday evening, lady bee received a call from pastor that he was sending a 23kg luggage ๐งณ to her, containing 2 apple laptops, bags and shoes, 2 iphones and 1500 dollars in a sealed purse ๐.
All she needed to do was to call his clearing agent whose number he forwarded to her. She gladly called the agent and he requested for 150 thousand naira to clear the goods. ๐๐๐
She didnt have the money and the agent began to desperately negotiate till they arrived at 50 thousand naira which she paid. ๐ซข๐ซข๐ซข๐ซข๐ซข๐ซข
The luggage never arrived and when she informed the pastor, he said he was coming to Nigeria to arrest ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธthe agent and she should calm down.
Weeks passed, no news of american laptop or shoe arriving for lady bee , talkless of arresting the agent.
He made excuses here and there and promised to refund the 50 thousand naira to her when he visited Nigeria .
He eventually landed in Naija and when She requested to visit his acclaimed duplex in magodo, he quickly brushed her off by saying the house was being renovated and he would be staying over at her place till he returned back to the US.๐คก๐คก๐คก๐คก
she felt weird that he had refused to take her to know his house, she didnโt want to spoil the moment as she felt he was her future husband. She began to notice that a certain woman was always calling him at a particular time and they woukd talk for hours away from where she could hear their conversations and whenever she asked, he would say it was his assistant pastor in the US trying to divide his church because he was not around.๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
He didnt speak about his family when he came and when she asked to see family pictures, he said his parents hardly took pics.
Out of suspicion, she glanced through his second phone which he forgot on the bed while he was out making his usual long call and she saw lots of naked photos of different ladies whom he was scamming. She was shocked to the teeth ๐ซฃ๐ซฃ๐ซฃ Abasi mbom!!!!
She also found out from his chats that his supposed assistant pastor was an elderly woman in the US whom he was trying to deceive into marriage for green card. He had collected over 1000 dollars from her for purchase of phone and other stuffs.
He was never a US citizen, never based abroad neither were his parents pastors in the abroad. He was a local dude born, raised and resident in the police barracks in lagos who was into scamming women online and he actually wanted to exploit lady bee .
She was deeply disappointed and heartbroken ๐ ๐ฅต๐ฅต๐ฅต๐ฅต๐ฅต
Not again!!!!๐ฉ๐ฉ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

*FINDING LOVE IN LAGOS*
Part 1
Picture this: I'm strolling home from work one day, minding my own business, when I bump into this guy on the street ๐คด๐พ
Cue the romantic music, right?
I'm thinking, 'Alright, God, is this your subtle way of playing matchmaker? ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
And let me tell you, he's got all the charm of a guy, Uncle knew his onions like he's been schooled in the art of wooing abroad ๐๐๐.
We hit it off; chatting, hanging out, the whole shebang. But here's the kicker: EVERY TIME I ask where he lives, it's like he's got a secret bunker somewhere in my neighborhood! Kilode!! Very Suspicious, right? ๐ I was busy being an understanding girlfriend ๐๐๐. He said he'll love to stay overnight to Netflix and chill, ONE night ooo. One night turned to days, then a week. By the second week, my food store had run down because Uncle was emptying my pot daily. Ahhh ,I had to tell him my dad was visiting and that sent him off quickly.
One would wonder after all these, why I didn't get the memo. He had his good side. He specialized in singing love songs and sent me daily doses of voice notes. He also had a good sense of fashion and wore good quality perfumes .
Pause โฏ๏ธ with the judgment, let me finish...
And then, boom!!!
There's the matter of my purse turning into his personal ATM. Chai!!!๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐I mean, sure, we're dating, but that's taking 'sharing is caring' to a whole new level! But wait, it gets better. He always had transfer issues when we were together, "babe can you please sort this out, am having network issues"๐๐๐๐. An invincible voice kept telling me "run oooo"...
One day, he hits me with the classic 'my card got swallowed by the ATM' sob story, complete with a promise to pay me back pronto.
Spoiler alert: That money took a one-way trip โ๏ธ to the Bermuda Triangle of no return. My hard earned money. Talk about being bamboozled! I decided to shine my eyes and kick him out...
So, who else has encountered a certified nutjob like this? ๐๐๐๐
Can I get a high five?โ
