2023 Fleetwood Bowling Festival schelude at Fleetwood BC and also Tom Woods Mixed Doubles at Cleveleys Mens. Festival Week 22nd to 28th July 2023

Morning All. Well its Festival week today Monday 18th is Main Competition Qualifying all at Fleetwood BC. 10am is Men,s and from 2pm is Ladies, tonight at 5pm is Open Pairs, also at Strawberry from 5pm is Singles and 6.30pm and 7.30pm is the Tom Woods Mixed Doubles at Cleveleys Mens Club. All Welcome.

This weekend will be announcing the comp in September with Prize Money and Entry Fee at Fleetwood BC. Waterloo week Friday 16th to.Tuesday 20th September.

Well that could not have gone any better, The Spring waterloo for the Men’s and Ladies for this year 2022 has come to an end, cannot thank everyone enough and already I cannot wait for the Autumn waterloo’s to start for both Men’s and Ladies, I will start with an apology as I am sure I will miss someone now during the upcoming thanks you’s, First off a big thank you to Peter Jose who has been on hand to look after the Sheet when I have been off doing other things, especially during the Last 32 when my son Ben Mills was playing in his first major Finals, A massive big thank you to Doug Bee and Dave Hughes who did the pe***ng right through the qualifiers and also assisted our Referee’s during the Final Days for both Men and Ladies events, also to all our markers especially Ian Gornell who was there everyday during qualifiers and and the Final days and to Heidi and Stephen Sutton for marking through the Men’s Final day too, Stephen Dagger kept you all informed updating the Live scoring for me during the Final day of the Men’s event amongst other things, Marion Bee on the bar and her staff, and my wife who looked after all visitors with the Sandwiches throughout both events, I am sure I will have missed somebody so I want to thank everyone who assisted in any way shape or form, Thank You you all made this first event at The new home a big big success and I hope many more to come to. The Lytham St Annes Bowls Development Partnership are looking for volunteers to coach people in open training sessions at the newly formed Fairhaven Bowls Academy located in the Fairhaven lake site. We need an army of volunteers to help run sessions throughout the season for beginners aged 5 and over.

Each coach will have to undertake to attend and pass a level 1 goals coach course, a Nationally recognised qualification, run by Coach Bowls. Volunteers must be aged 18 and over, and be prepared to comply with the BCGBA Child and Vulnerable people Safe Guarding policy. All courses fees will paid for by the Partnership.
