An emergency call out from an insurance company this morning after significant storm damage yesterday. 💨 🌳
Temporary tank fitted and the customers heating back on whilst the incident is dealt with.

⚠️We are recruiting⚠️

We are currently looking for a full time tank installer to join our team.
This role will be based at our Yard at Thornton Village (TS8)

WHO WE WANT
Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided, but practical experience, safe working of power tools and machinery and a basic understanding of ground works would be advantageous.
Applicants must have a full driver’s license, be fit and able to deal with a very manual work load, and be flexible with working hours.
The nature of the job requires us to work outside in all weathers, so this needs to be taken into consideration before applying.

We are looking for someone reliable, punctual and good with people as most of your work will be customer facing.



ABOUT THE JOB
Northern Tank Services is a leading storage tank installation company based in Yarm, we supply and install fuel tanks across the North East and North Yorkshire.
The job includes travelling to different locations daily, manual work such as trenching, building walls and bases, and the safe lifting of tanks where necessary.
We use a wide range of machinery including telehandlers, diggers and Hiab cranes. Training will be provided if required on everything we use.

Your main job role will be the installation of new oil tanks in domestic, agricultural and commercial settings as well as the decommissioning and removal of old tanks. Other duties will include yard work such as stock checking, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, cutting up and draining of scrap tanks and general tidying.
You will be required to carry out servicing of oil tanks, breakdown work and the fitting of oil monitoring gauges on a regular basis. This is something we would expect an individual to be confident in carrying out alone after their initial training period.
You will be required to drive work vehicles including occasionally towing a trailer, however for the latter necessary training will be given if required.

Applicants would be required to work from 8AM Monday to Friday, finish times vary daily.
Wage would be on an hourly basis working of a 40 hour per week contract, with higher rates paid for overtime.
This would be negotiated dependant on experience but would go up once a 6 month probation period was completed, then reviewed annually.
Performance based annual bonuses, 28 days holiday a year including bank holidays, lunch allowance, uniform and safety equipment provided, and other perks are also given as part of the package.
