It was the perfect sunny weekend project, out in the sunshine ☀️ Glorious! Quick to make, even for less confident sewers! Will you be joining me? I’d love to see you Xx
You know my favourite dress ever? It’s this linen gingham number - I wear it more than anything! I made it using my fave pattern - darling range. It’s such a great base pattern - I’ve made 5x dresses from it now, but I’ve hacked the pattern each time to alter the neckline / sleeves / remove the button front etc. So after lots of requests, I’ve scheduled another ‘Sew a summer dress: How-to & Hacks!’ Workshop/Q&A!
So if you’d like to learn all about sewing a dress / how to adapt commercial patterns, this is the session for you! Just £10 a spot - it’ll give you so much back and extend the life of any pattern you have at home!
The next one on my cutting table is pink/white linen gingham from which I’m going to make v-neck and sleeve-less! Can’t wait 😝
Ps if you also love the gingham linen, you can get 10% off with code ‘makery10’ from 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Will you join me? # # #

Trigger warning: Baby loss
It's our lovely Millie's Birthday today. I never talk about her on here, but today feels right and I feel strong. I hope my words can help anyone else going through a similar tragedy.
Millie only lived for an hour, 11 years ago today. Nothing can prepare you for the pain of losing a child. It never, ever goes away (nor would I want it to - the pain makes me feel close to her), but you learn to manage it. Accept it, even.
An entire life's worth of love filled that hour with Millie. It's overwhelming. But what a privilege for me to have loved that deeply.
Sometimes I get upset that she'll miss out on filling her life with new experiences. But then I'm thankful that all she ever knew was the deepest love possible, and the warm cuddles and words of her parents.
I've been able to help friends who've been through similar experiences. Millie gave me that gift; of knowing the right thing to say. And not say. So she's the one who's helping them really, not me.
She's made me stronger than I could ever have been. Thank you our beautiful girl. There are so many things I'm grateful to you for, every single day. We talk about you all the time! And your sisters love to include you in their games. You are so loved # # #
Sending love to anyone who needs it. You're going to be ok. My inbox is always open xx

I may not have progressed my studio revamp (waiting on an electrician) but I’ve moved on with some of the decor! I’m not buying anything new for this project, so starting with a chair I snagged from the pavement during that lockdown where everyone decluttered but couldn’t get to the tip. Yay! Swipe through for before and during.
I used amazing boucle fabric from - they have the best selection! (There’s a 15% discount code on all their fabrics in my blog post 🤩)
➡️Check my blog for resources, fabric ££ discount and lots of TIPS to have a go yourself! ⬅️
Any time questions, ask away! Xx
I’m revamping my studio so thought I’d share the process.
I inherited the space - it began life as a brewery when we moved in, then a bar (complete with smoke machine and disco lights), a meditation space for my husband and then an office/studio for me! I moved in quickly and definitely didn’t plan the space from scratch. So now I’m starting again☺️
1+2~ First up is a mood board, taking reference from my branding and style guide.
3~Then a list of must haves and like to haves.
4~ I played around with the floor plan, leaving space to add/change things if it feels right.
5~ Then messed about on Canva to get an idea of the all-important back wall 🤣
Aside from paint, I’m using all upcycled or handmade/Indie products. I’ll share them with you as I go!
💛Please send your rec’s for art you think might work well. So far I’m looking at and loving what I see!💛
This is one of my favourite festive makes so far this year!
The brief from was to make a Christmas wall decoration using foraged items. So I set off on a walk and collected a couple of Hazel twigs and some ivy leaves.
With some string and fairy lights, I had myself this gem to adorn my wall this Christmas!
For full instructions, visit and click the link in their bio.
You must let me know if you make one, I’d love to see! Xx
💝My Crafters Gift Guide is ready!

I’ve had so much fun putting this together - finding the most brilliantly crafty gifts I can. I’ve tried and tested most of them, so these recommendations come from the heart! And I’ve tried to cover off all price points.
Apart from the Joy (which I just HAD to include), they’re all indie UK businesses ☺️
I’ll do a focus on emu favourites over the next few days to showcase them in more detail.
I’ll be buying a few of these for friends and family family…What has made the cut to your pressie list this year?
I recently made this project for to tie in with their Woodland theme.
A simple way of making gifts look so much more than just your standard wrap, tag and ribbon! Plus it’s all recyclable 💚 And foraging for the greenery whilst out on our walk was an excellent activity for the kids!
I LOVE Christmas, but always looking for ways to reduce the waste - and this is a great start.
I’ll be sharing more over the coming weeks, but do you have any top tips for a greener Christmas? I’d love to hear ☺️

They also make the best gifts!
Have you made candles before?
What other nifty containers can you think of? I’d love to hear! Xx
