WE ARE RECRUITING!

** Recruiting air conditioning / heating engineer mate **

Role:
- To work along side engineer installing air conditioning systems on construction sites, offices, shops.

- Jobs will include pipe fitting and aspects of plumbing and electrical works.
- Must be ok with general hand tools, drills, etc.

- Need someone that's punctual and willing to learn.

- Shifts will be 8 to 12 hour days starting in Coleshill between 5.00am and 7.00am dependent on the job. Out of town work may be required.

Business:
- We are a mid-sized air conditioning installation and service firm based in Coleshill, Birmingham. We work primarily with retail and commercial customers.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older.

- Preferable to hold a full UK driving licence.

- Will be required to pass a CITB Health, Safety and Environment test in order to obtain CSCS card prior to commencing work.

• Permanent role based at our offices in Coleshill, Birmingham, B46 area.

• Standard hours 9.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday.

• Salary: experience dependant £17,500 - £22,000 per annum starting salary.

• Annual performance based bonus scheme.

• Holiday: 20 days holiday with additional 8 bank holiday days.

• Company pension scheme available.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

- Utilise cost methodologies and appropriate software packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate costing data. This would include reviewing and authorising timesheets and allocating purchase invoices and expenses to individual projects.

- Review cost effectiveness of projects and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in-line with budget.

- Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities.

- Undertake monthly material price reviews across all suppliers and drive down these prices through supplier negotiations. Where appropriate place bulk orders for specific jobs based on a pre-agreed prices.

- Where appropriate, assisting in tender opportunities, working with the directors to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current projects.

- Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements.

- Support the month-end process including customer invoicing and supplier reconciliations and payments.

- Manage site risk and method statements, FGAS logs and training logs to ensure all documentation is appropriate and up to date.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

- Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.

- Strong numerate skills with the ability to research, assemble, manage and manipulate numerical information.

- Good IT systems knowledge and skills including strong Excel capabilities.

- Results orientated and organised with the ability to deliver against deadlines.

- Relevant experience in construction and/or mechanical environments preferred but not requirement.
