On tour with Ariana Grande next year, probably.
After eighteen months in the making then six faffing around with the peripherals, I’m pleased to announce the release of new album, HOUSE MUSIC.
So, what sort of fresh hell is this? Well its not house music in the traditional sense of generic repetitive beats building to a squelchy synth-based euphoria. That would be too easy.
This is more a homebrewed hotchpotch of melodic, indie, earnest, weird folk-drone drudgery. I hope that's sold it to you.
Take a listen, dip your toe then listen again because we all know the second listen is the most rewarding.
Available on the usual streaming platforms and as a CD on

Super chuffed to have been played again by Steve Lamacq. This man deserves numerous small treats.

A week ahead of it's official release, the new single, Peace Pipe, is available to buy or stream on Bandcamp as from today.
It's a bit of a departure as some of it is spoken word. Don't let that put you off though as most of the words have been chosen wisely. Album due for release in June.

Ahead of next months single release I’m putting out a cover of The Likely Lads Theme on Bandcamp.
The original music was written by Mike Hugg (Manfred Mann) with lyrics by Ian La Frenais who co-wrote the show with Dick Clements.
It was a favourite when I was a boy, sounding both wistful and sepia-toned. Listening back it now sounds like it was recorded in an aircraft hanger. It has a distant, metallic clang to it, as if it’s been beamed down from outer space and I think that adds to it’s charm.
This version was recorded recently in record time with the help and enthusiasm of Annie Grace (vocals) and Russel Hutcheson (bass vocals on chorus). He hit some sub-bass notes that even Leonard Cohen in his later years wouldn’t have even attempted.
You can download it free or consider leaving a small token as I’m saving up for a bottle of Cointreau.
I’d like to ponder that it’s sufficiently different to mark out as my own. There is no doubt that I’m standing too close to the amp with my guitar at certain inappropriate moments - that’s what happens when left alone with big boy’s toys.

Head's on fire or perhaps a long, candyfloss quiff. New music coming very soon.
