4HERO - Mr Kirk’s Nightmare - breakbeat hardcore - Reinforced Records .. so where did the sample come from ?? The track features at least six samples, including a breakbeat from an Isley Brothers track. The song also includes samples from "ET Boogie" and a bassline from reggae soundsystem culture, but it pivoted around the "Get Into Something" break (taken from The Isley Brothers) and a morbid vocal sample ("Mr Kirk? Your son is dead.Rave Pop quiz question for you - What year was this epic rave tune released ??

The first-ever rap song produced was Rapper’s Delight in the summer of 1979. Three Bronx rappers named the Sugar Hill Gang recorded it and it was produced by Sugar Hill Records.
This is the legend Sylvia ROBINSON then, the CEO and founder of Sugar Hill Records AND the Producer of Rapper’s Delight and a little later, The Message by Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five in 1982. It is said that Melle Mel did not want to record the seven-minute rap song that shared brutal honesty of social issues in the city at the time, but she insisted. And she was right.
Both rap songs became instant hits that made history by putting rap music, created by the voiceless in the streets of NYC, front and center for the rest of America.
This woman started it all.
This woman is responsible for the start of rap.
The members, all from Englewood, New Jersey, consisted of Henry "Big Bank Hank" Jackson, Michael "Wonder Mike" Wright and Guy "Master Gee" O'Brien. The
three were assembled into a group by producer Sylvia Robinson, who founded Sugar Hill Records with her husband, record producer Joe Robinson.
The group and the record company were named after the Sugar Hill, Harlem neighborhood.

RIP LEGENDARY CHICAGO HOUSE VOCALIST CHUCK ROBERTS
who recently passed away /)
Chuck Roberts, who could make a better claim than almost anyone to being called the “Voice of House Music,” has passed away after a battle with cancer.
Roberts, known for the iconic “In the beginning there was jack…” sermon from the 1987 track “My House” by Rhythm Control, passed away on June 6 2024 — “peacefully,” while surrounded by his family in suburban Berwyn, Illinois, according to a statement. He was 66 years old.
Roberts’ speech appeared in an incredible amount of places over the years, rivaling perhaps only Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream Speech” as a vocal for inventive DJs to drop over tracks. Possibly the most played version over the years was the one over Larry Heard’s deep house classic “Can You Feel It”:
”In the beginning, there was Jack. And Jack had a groove. And from this groove came the groove of all grooves. And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldly declared,Let there be House! And House music was born. I am, you see. I am the creator. And this is my House. And in my House there is only House music. But I am not so selfish, because once you've entered my House, it then becomes our House, and our House music. And you see, no one man owns House, because house music is a universal language spoke and understood by all. You see, House is a feeling, that no one can understand really, unless you're deep into the vibe of House. House is an uncontrollable desire to Jack your body. And as I told ya before, this is our house, and our House music. And in every house you understand, there is a keeper. And in this house the keeper is Jack. Now some of you might wonder, who is Jack and what is it that Jack does? Jack is the one who gives you the power to Jack your body. Jack is the one who gives you the power to do the snake. Jack is the one who gives you the key to the wiggly world. Jack is the one who learns you how to walk your body. Jack is the one that can bring nations and nations of all Jackers together under one house. You may be black, you may be white, you may be Jew, or Gentile. It don't make a difference in our house. And this is fresh!!!”
Jack your body 🙂

⚽️ With the EUROS being played now in 2024 here’s a flashback to 1990 ... - in an era when raving was at its peak and was the year of the World Cup. Wow 🤩 34 years ago …
New Order - “World In Motion” -
Featuring a rap by John Barnes - and additional vocals by the England team - - comedian Keith Allen co-wrote the lyrics (later did “Vindaloo” song)
"The song was originally to be called "E for England", with lyrics that ran "E is for England, England starts with E / We'll all be smiling when we're in Italy", but the Football Association vetoed the title, realising that it sounded suspiciously like a reference to the drug ecstasy"
Another football song 🎵 by Comedians Frank Skinner & David Baddiel 1996 - THREE LIONS - proved much more popular over the years &
has been number one in the uk 🇬🇧 on 4 separate occasions
“It’s coming home” … well let’s hope so ..
Good luck England 🏴 in the Euros this year 🙂 oi oi :))
