The world is getting smaller, noisier and busier through social media and technology. It can become overwhelming, addictive but triggering to anxieties.

Take time out, walk, cycle or just sit and enjoy the natural sounds of our world.

Unplug, relax and unwind.

Perfection is something some autistic people strive for. It’s unobtainable and then ask yourself, who sets the benchmark?
How many of us do not say no, because we are issued of the response, then we put ourselves under too much pressure.
We are human, we make mistakes, we must be able to put ourselves first at times, we can say no and above all we MUST be kind to ourselves.

How it Happened

I have worked in education since 2008 always with Autistic children, young people and adults. So many people speak for the autistic person believing that they understand Autism and the Autistic person. When in truth this is not the case, the Autistic voice must be heard to change the future of Autism and that's where I come in.

I have a personal link to Autism which enables me to fully empathise and understand the Autistic world, by sharing my experiences I hope I can offer an insight to parents/carers and professionals.

I hold qualifications in Education, Sensory Processing, Autism and currently studying a MA in Autism.

My most important qualification is my lived experience and my passion and commitment to the Autistic voice being heard.
