Wow it’s been ages since I posted on here. Been busy loving life with my little family and so Merlewood & Beau was put on the back burner.

So what’s new… this week I went up to Ullacombe farm and collected the last remaining candles that I have in stock. I’ve decided to put the candle side of the business on hold for the time being. I have a few remaining so may sell them off at a great discount. Let me know if you are interested and I will let you know what I have.

Do you remember the gorgeous Cashmere blend scarves I previously had in stock?! These were a real hit with some of you buying more than one as you wanted the different colours.

I’ve had a few new followers recently so I thought I should introduce myself for those who are new around here…

My name is Ruth and I am the person behind Merlewood & Beau. Merlewood & Beau was created about 3 years ago following the sudden and unexpected passing of my fabulous mum at the age of 58. Mum was a very talented and creative person. Prior to her passing she would make gorgeous wall hanging wire tree sculptures. On clearing her house I found a tree that she had started. I decided to finish this for her and although it was no where near the standard she made, it was lovely to have something that we had both made together. This now takes pride of place on my wall.
Over time I made some trees and evolved them into my freestanding trees with lights and created my family tree frames.
My candles were also sold by Mum under the name Merlewood Candles. Having a huge love for them I decided to go into business myself and so Merlewood & Beau was born.
I am a busy wife & Mum of two who works part time alongside Merlewood & Beau. I absolutely love my candles, they smell gorgeous and I still find it amazing that some of them you can massage in to the skin. I take so much pleasure in making every tree i make and enjoy putting your family tree frames together feeling the sentiment & love behind each charm that is added.

I’ve been quiet on here since before the new year as I’ve been making the most of quality family time. I’m still here though and making behind the scenes.
This tree I had as a table centrepiece for Christmas but rather than put it away with all the other decorations I’ve put it in my lounge and I totally love it. It’s bright enough that its just like having a side lamp and looks great in the corner of the room. I also love that it’s next to the photo of me & my mum which if you’ve been around here for a while you will know is how Merlewood & Beau began.
