It’s an emotional one today. End of year 4 for Jasper and end of year 6 for Josh 🥹 How is my baby off to secondary school in September?!! He’s had the best 4 years at juniors thanks to some incredible teachers (especially this last year) and his lovely friends. Here’s to the end of an era and the start of the summer holidays 💛

How do we become the person that we really want to be? And by that, I mean our true authentic self. ⁣

I believe we need to know 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 we want to be as well as 𝘸𝘩𝘰 we want to be. When we have an end goal or vision, one that we can really get emotionally involved with, it frees our minds to be open to new ways of thinking, new ideas and keeps us going when things get tough. ⁣

The emotions are what draw our visions from the ether into reality, along with a lot of hard work and passion for what it is that we want to achieve. ⁣

Aligning ourselves with our values also helps to keep us focused and on track. Regularly checking in with ourselves allows us to monitor how we are doing. Are we on track? Are we feeling in the flow? And if not, what is holding us back? ⁣

Sone other great questions to ask are, What is the reason we are doing all this? What is our ‘Why?’ Why is it important to us? How will it help change our lives for the better? How is it going to help us become the person we really want to be?⁣

We all want to be more productive in life. ⁣

Procrastination and overwhelm are two major areas that stop us from being productive. They cloud our minds with doubt and worry and take us far away from a positive mindset where clarity and confidence are the front runners.⁣

There are so many different ways in which we can improve productivity starting with putting a simple plan into place. However, to really stick to this plan we need to dig deeper to discover why we are feeling this sense of overwhelm and panic at the sheer amount of tasks we have to complete in one day, one week or even one month. ⁣

The first question to ask ourselves is why each task is important to us? This can help reveal the true level of importance so we can start to organise and prioritise. We also need to look at whether we really have to do ALL of these tasks ourselves - or can we delegate them to a husband / partner / child (age and ability dependent) or colleague. ⁣

Try and group certain tasks together to reduce overwhelm. It’s also good to work out what your ‘Good Enough’ is for that day and be kind to yourself if you don’t get everything completed.⁣

It can also help to create a routine to start and end your day. This could include writing in a gratitude journal, doing a 5 minute mediation or visualisation - anything that gets you into a positive, focused mindset for the day and helps you relax when you finish for the evening.⁣

I have helped so many clients get clear on their priorities, find clarity on what is really important to them and ultimately create a much better and happier work / life balance. ⁣

We all have a back story that we believe to be true. How do you tell your story to other people? Listen to the words you say and feel what emotions come up for you. How does your body react? ⁣

If this isn’t a positive experience, it’s time to change how you view your past, and ultimately your present and future. ⁣

Reframing is a wonderful exercise I do with my clients to help them shift their beliefs and unblock a negative mindset. They are then free to move forwards and achieve absolutely anything they put their minds to! ⁣

How easy do you find it to be yourself? This is something I struggled with for years, and still do on occasion. ⁣

What I have learned is that starting anywhere, no matter how small, is enough to kick start a change. This change needs to be nurtured and built upon, and working with a coach will give you the support you need to find your strength, self belief and live an authentic life full of happiness.⁣
