A few years ago I did this cake for a friend of mine daughter, if you know about cakes, about meringue, candy , buttercream...

You will clearly see the cake wasn't covered in buttercream. No, ha ha, it is fondant, yes, sugarpaste. "Cheating, may be!"

However, I always be clear with clients, I don't work with buttercream cakes (I fill with buttercream and I pre cover in buttercream), but my main industry is fondant "sugarpaste cakes"

I don't have the right tools, I don't have a big fridge to keep it cool. There are so many scuses to express "I don't work with buttercream cakes 😂🤣😂"

I love this design, and soon I will be doing something for her total different but beautiful.

I couldn't place the cake on top of cake plinth, for a photo, sorry the base was 18", the main bottom tier cake was 16" sq Victoria sandwich and on top a 10" carve red velvet cake. It's a little bit heavy 🤣 and my lovely client arrives 2 hours early to pick up and catch me exactly putting the last brunch of orchids 😂

I was thinking steaming and of course glitter, plenty glitter. However, I was so pleased with the cake.
