Welcome to Middle England Hello, we’re ROY – Middle England’s Finest Band. We like to write songs about lawnmowers, sheds and frozen peas.
You may have seen us playing at the garden centre. Or at an old people’s home near you. For comfort reasons, we perform in golf slacks and slippers. We like animals, and we’re ever so polite. Come and join us in Middle England. We'll pop the kettle on.

JAYFEST! That was absolutely wonderful. What a fantastic evening and a fitting celebration for a dear friend.
We'll remember our performance forever I think.
What a joy it was and so wonderful to play for old (and new) friends again. It felt like a family reunion, only without the Mother-In-Law.
Thanks to everyone who came along and remembered things!

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, WE'RE COMING OUT OF ROYTIREMENT.
As you may know, we lost our lovely keyboard wizard, Mr Leonard Sensation (aka Jay Benham) last year. So we're super happy to be part of Jayfest, a celebration of the talented devil's life. We'd love to see you there. Details below (bring your own sandwiches):
Jayfest News! Please get this date in your diary, we've got a venue, a lineup and a cause. What else do you need?
Angie Brown is more than a friend of Jay's, she was the voice on some of his most important tracks.
Niall Redmond is a hugely influential DJ from Dublin who's a big fan and spoke to Jay regularly on his radio show.
Roy are a bunch of old men in cardigans, coming out of retirement to celebrate a good friend, who produced and played on their best work.
We're lining up more names, so if you've worked with Jay at any point, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch!
And finally, all this is for Cancer Research, who Jay specifically chose for his legacy.
So get July 7 in your diary, and let's celebrate a top, talented guy.
