What’s is nVision and nuance? A question I get asked so often and a question that’s so hard to sum up in one sentence.
On the surface level, it’s personalised coaching to help people achieve fat loss long term. But it goes much deeper than that. For long term results, you need long term change. Change is hard and only happens when it fits with your life, likes and desires. So the coaching programme taps into all the deep routed feelings, habits and behaviours you have, working out where change can take place.
Change also needs ownerships to succeed. It needs to be in your terms, that’s why I coach you to be in the driving seat. For you the make the decisions based on evidence based information and years of experience coaching others.

As busy adults that is a huge barrier and being available yourself is hard enough without replying on someone else as well. So we worked with this… I wasn’t going to force this client to solo gym sessions. But I didn’t strongly encourage her to try a group setting. One that would provide routine, accountability and bucket loads of inspiration and motivation (my class community is just awesome!)…
The result… the client was hooked!
No longer did she need her mates there. No longer was tiredness a barrier. She found something she loves and now prioritises it.

I’m open up my fitness studio this summer for some pre-season training. Improving my strength over the years through lifting weights has had a dramatic impact on my performance on court and recovery off court. Being able to continue to play into my later years is super important to me and I want other players to discover the huge benefits S&C can have to them and their game too.
Focussing on strength, power, agility and stability… I’ll provide a session that you can replicate in your own time, building your confidence and know-how on how to train off court.

Charity Walk raising funds for
These walks have grown in popularity over the past year. What started as a social walk for the nProve community has grown into a great fundraising event for the community.

Sea swimming or sea dipping?
Both have huge benefits but only one you could probably class as exercise.
When I have clients working with me with big goals and little time, really evaluating how they are spending their available time is super important. Trying to optimise opportunities to progress them forward whilst not giving up the things they love. The key is to figure out what they’re doing and why.
If you’re sea dipping for your mental health, then that’s a good enough reason for me. But if you’re sea dipping thinking that’s how you’re going to build lots of muscle and burn lots of calories, then let’s look at different options.
In reality you’re probably taking 30mins to get ready, drive and park, 5 mins in the water, 30mins getting changed, drinking your thermal flask cuppa and catching up with your friend and then 30mins getting back home and showered. 1-2hrs spent for a 5 min cold dip. Again, maybe a great choice for your mental health but a pretty poor choice for exercise.
So if you want to “exercise” get your wetsuit on and get swimming, or get your trainers on and hit the roads or the gym.

I’ve said it and I’ll say it again.
Changing your meal times can be the simplest way to manage your food intake and food enjoyment.
If you’ve got kids, and you’re making tea for them at 5pm, why not eat with them?
So many clients I work with wait until 8/9pm to eat. They’re hangry and miserable by then. Or sometimes gone last being hungry but eat anyway. Because that’s just what they do.
If you want different results, you need different actions. Change something. Choose the low hanging fruit.
Stop torturing yourself for the 4 hours from cooking the kids dinner to cooking yours. Why drag it out. All you’ll end up doing is eating way more than you think by picking and snacking on random crap.
If your kid needs food at 5pm, why can’t you need food at 5pm too? Stop abiding by your pre-kids eating schedule. I bet you didn’t get rude awakenings at 5am or crawl into bed at 9:15pm either. Parenthood changes your routine , so change your eating routine with it.
The best bit, at 9pm when you might just getting a little hungry again, give yourself the green light to enjoy that little something sweet. Even better, make it a big bowl of nutritious deliciousness. Fudge Protein powder, fruit, nuts, yogurt all mixed up 😍😍😍. That beats eating my kids cold, dried up chips from his plate.
If you want to move forward, you’ve got to move.
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Simple I know. But weirdly so often overlooked.
People seem to want to wake up good at everything. They want the results without the work.
It rarely works like that. Unless life just happens to change around you, you most likely will need to make the change yourself.
Whether it’s health and fitness goal, career or relationship goal. If you want something you need to work for it. If you want to be good at something, you need to work harder for it.

A pictures says a thousand words…
The evidence is clear. The results are almost unrecognisable. Fat loas done the right way. No diet. No rules. Just lifestyle changes that have as a bi-product creates the calorie deficit needed to create fat loss. A what a deficit he created. But it all sustainable because he’s been in the driving seat the whole time. Choosing his own path and speed.
It’s amazing what you can do with some extra knowledge behind you.
You need more than “eat less, move more”. You need to understand the how and the why. That’s where I come in with my coaching. Everyone ends up with different ways of getting to the same goal.
The chocolate season is once again upon us.
Did we get a break between the Christmas selection boxes and the Easter mini eggs?
Finding the balance of enjoying indulgences whilst having control over your consumption and goals is a tough one.
Having coached 100s of ladies, I know very well how this battle is a common one! Total bans don’t generally work long term as the desire for it only seems to grow to an uncontrolled binge later down the line.
But surrounding yourself with lots of chocolate (or whatever your indulgence is!) also doesn’t generally help. It’s hard to manage control when the temptation is staring you in the face the whole time in copious quantities.
So a balance is often needed.
Tip 1. Limit the quantity you have in your house. You’ll be more selective on when you have it, knowing once it’s gone it’s gone. I ate throw a box of celebrations within about 1 weeks but I left 1 snickers bar. 2 months later, that 1 bar is still there!! Why? Because I’m saving it to when I reeeeeeaaaallly want it. Once that’s gone that’s it.
Tip 2. Remove from day to day eyesight and place in more unusual locations. Yes you know where it is. But you won’t have the visual temptation every time you open the cupboard/fridge. Or when you pass the coffee table etc. Utility rooms/ low level cupboards are great for this.
Tip 3. Plan when you’re going to enjoy the indulgence. Plan a time when you can sit down and enjoy it mindfully- not in a rush- not with distractions. Maximise the experience. If you have a time planned, you’ll feel more in control the rest of the time.
Tip 4. Pay attention to your feelings. What indulgences leave you feeling less in control that others. Why? Is it the scarcity of the time only being available at certain times of the year? Are some tastier? More addictive? If you’re bringing items into your home try to choose ones that you feel more in control of.
The main thing is about creating ‘control’. Making consumption a conscious decision. To enjoy not deprive. So choose wisely. What balances enjoyment:control?
Last tip- if you’ve got items in your house you don’t want to consume. Get rid of them. It’s not a waste.

What is the fundamental bigggest thing we change to reach our goals.
It’s not our recipe book
It’s not our workout plan
It’s our mindsets.
That’s what I focus my coaching on. Mindset towards nutrition. Mindset towards exercise. Mindset towards change, choices, values and time. Get them in line with your goals and everything else will follow.

Scales.
If you’ve got 30% body fat on your body. Why do you assume the scales are 100% measuring your fat loss? There is so much more in your body than just body fat. The scales measure all of it. And unfortunately a lot of the other stuff fluctuates ALOT.
So sure, use the scales to measure your progress. But it the scales don’t move for a week or two. It doesn’t mean your fat% isn’t coming down. It might just be being masked by a fluctuation in another thing.
10 days in and the results speak for themselves
Weight/fat loss across the board plus huge shifts in mindset.
We started with education and that have them the knowledge and tools to start implementing so changes into their day. Understanding why certain foods will help them. How fat loss works and the importance of movement.
With the group to provide support and accountability and me as their coach answering all their questions; they’ve got a great team around them to succeed.

Just dumping my thoughts on here so you know even I question myself some times. I go between being truly inspired by other coaches online to them making me feel like a total imposter.
Since joining the wonderful community of coaches on last year it’s really helped me figure out the business I want to run and the type of coach I want to be. But there’s always a tiny bit ofme that keeps thinking I should be doing more or doing something different.
This is similar to the mixed emotions you can feel when aiming for fat loss. No matter how much success you might be making towards your goal, no matter how great you feel along the way, there’s likely to always be the odd thought that crops into your head that you could be doing it quicker, faster or even easier by choosing a different path. .
Those mixed emotions are there to test us, to check in on ourselves, to see what we really want and value, and to reset and refocus our mind to carry on our chosen path with enthusiasm and passion.
Spent several hours reading through the detailed consultation forms of the 23 lovely girls (and guys!! 🤩) that I have starting my 8 week coaching programme- nVision and nHance tomorrow. So so happy to read their goals stretch far beyond weight loss with every single client also noting some type of health and fitness goal aswell.
I’m buzzing to help this group. The barriers they’ve faced reaching the goals by themselves can all be simply overcome with some good coaching. Once they’ve learn the basic principles of fat loss it’s all about figuring out the right lifestyle changes for them.
If 8 weeks time they still feel like they’ve got the same barriers then I’ll give up spinach for a month. It ain’t happened 🤣

Yes it’s nearly January, yes it’s that time of year where everyone and their dog seems to be on a diet. This isn’t about a quick fix, slap a plaster on the problem, type of diet. This is a get to the root cause, and fix it from the ground up type of coaching.
