Hi all - having a little sale of some of my older pieces 😜 I am running out of space so hoping to clear a few! Have a look in my shop they should all be listed with the new prices or on my stories 👍 I am sure there is more wrapped up that I have forgotten about so will add those to my shop as well soon. Thanks all for looking!
Looking forward to getting these up on the wall to finish our new bedroom off! ❤️ I’ve used a fairly neutral palette to go with the decor in the room but have added pops of ochre, gold, silver and copper.
‘Light Energy’ a piece I reworked a little recently as I didn’t quite feel it had enough definition or depth. Available now msg for details 👍
Work on the house has been taking over my creative time and as much as I love priming furniture it’s just not the same! 😳 I did find time to create this piece tho….hope you like!
Made this little piece for a wonderful friend before Christmas, but hadn’t managed to give it her until this week so haven’t been able to post! 😄
My project for the last week or so…I think I am desperately dreaming of holidays! This is a 50cm x 100cm canvas and I much preferred the design vertically.
My painting sessions are a little like my cooking…..every brush, pot, paint out possible!!!! Who can relate?!!
Well hello and happy new year! I know I have been quiet 🤐 I have been enjoying some well earned rest over Christmas and a bit of time to clear out my creating space (again?!!) as somehow every couple of months it seems to be a tip!! I do not know how! But I definitely work better with a clear space. This is my first creation for 2022. Will be advertised soon on artwork500.co.uk ❤️❤️
Gorgeous commission recently completed soon to be going to its new home 🥰
Wow! First time I’ve added a floating frame to a canvas and think it really makes it pop! An expensive addition but definitely worth it…. ❤️
Soooo….this is my latest piece finished! Looks a little different now to the previous reel but that’s just what happens and it evolves! Not sure how I feel about portrait painting, anyone else hate doing eyebrows and eyelashes??! I think it will look great though all framed in a white floating frame so I’ll show you that when I’ve done it. What do you think?
Little work in progress I started yesterday….I’m liking it so far but it will need more so we shall see where it ends up!
New piece currently untitled.......
‘ Regression’ Another new painting where I forgot to take a video of me working on this. 🙈 I need to remember as apparently Instagram will favour my posts more. Irritating as I like pictures. Bloody algorithms 🤬
Another new one….the beauty and decay ❤️
New piece I’ve been working on is complete! This is ‘last rays of sun’ 8x20 inch wooden birch panel which I have painted to look like darker wood and then added texture, acrylics and spray paint ❤️
Another new one ready for the autumn exhibition ‘light energy’ absolutely in love with this one 😍😍
So excited to have some of my pieces now available in the Reallyverynice Gallery in Bury!
We are delighted to announce the arrival of another new artist - Sarah Wakely. Her work includes this stunning Acrylic on canvas
Approx. 100cm x 120cm
Calling all my lovely clients who have purchased a piece from me….❤️ I am looking to try and add some reviews to my website and page if anyone would be willing to offer one?
Started working on a set of paintings that are going to be in a gallery exhibition in the autumn! Eeeekkkk so excited 😁😍 this is the first one in my chemistry of colour series ‘altered condition’. I used lots of mediums for this including acrylics, spray paint and alcohol inks as well as the good old gold leaf! Let me know what you think!
Another newbie! This time an A2 diptych ❤️ I am loving doing the abstracts at the moment but still can’t completely break away from the pouring!!
New piece currently untitled. A2 wooden canvas ❤️
Today has been a busy one! I have turned my art space upside down and totally de cluttered and it looks so great now! Hopefully I will be able to finish a couple more pieces to share with you next week. I have also finished tweaking these two and now beautifully framed 🥰
The Krafty Artist
While on maternity leave in 2018 I had a chance to start getting crafty! It all started when I was looking for a nice nursery picture for my son’s room and could only find digital prints so I decided to draw something myself. I created three pictures which you will see in my shop and it then progressed to wreaths, decorations and noticeboards. Before long I started using resin to make jewellery and coasters as well as acrylic paint artwork. Now that I have stock, I have started attending local craft fairs to see if anyone likes what I’ve made! The response so far has been great so thank you! In 2020, I have started focusing more on acrylic artwork so keep an eye out for all my new pieces.
