The Times was born on February 7. 1880, as eight pages of tightly packed print and was an offshoot of the People's Weekly Journal which first appeared in 1864. These days the it is much bigger - circulated in an area stretching from the golden sands of Wells and Holkham, through to Fakenham and down to the Brecks and Dereham, calling in at all the villages in between.
