Thanks to all the teachers for inspiring kids every day. For teaching them about maths and art and history. For teaching them how to be kind. And for teaching them to put the lid back on a Pritt stick when they’re done with it.

Meet the co-founders: First up, Rosie!

Here’s what you need to know about me…

🌲 I grew up on a Christmas tree farm in York.

🐾 I have a giant Goldendoodle puppy called Ted. His favourite part of People of Note so far is that he gets to go into our local (dog-friendly) Post Office to post your parcels. They have very good treats there and they’re very generous with them.

👷‍♀️I’m doing a big house renovation with my partner Rich. We’re attempting to do a lot of it ourselves so any tips are most welcome.

🍕I’m a HUGE fan of margherita pizzas. Additional toppings are wasted on me.

I love a wedding that’s as unique as you are. When Abbie Hancock-Gostelow married James back in 2019, my favourite bits were:

1. The whole congregation quoting the TV show Friends as part of the official ceremony

2. Abbie promising James in her vows that they’d be ‘Thunderbuddies for life’

3. Abbie’s Dad reading a card ‘written by’ Floyd (the dog) during his speech because Floyd had to stay home that day.

Are you Father's Day ready? Go on... get him a good card this year! 💌

If you’re going to start a business, you should go where there’s a gap in the market, right?

Well, we haven’t.

Instead, we’ve gone for something we’ve long loved. Greetings cards.

You know as well as we do that you can buy any old card in any old shop in the country. You can buy any old card in Hallmark. In Card Factory. In Sainsbury’s or John Lewis.

But when you’re serious about sending cards, you don’t pick them up on the fly.

You care about the person you’re writing to. And you care where your cards come from too. You care about good quality card. Recyclable packaging (cellophane included!).

And most of all you care about what goes inside. Getting the message *just* right.

Making it memorable and penning a card that’s actually worth keeping. A card they’ll pop on their dressing table. On the kitchen side. Or keep in a box to rediscover in 5 years’ time.

We started a greeting card business because we are those people who care.

We’re People of Note.

And we think you might be too.
