In collaboration with UK Strategic Command, Defence Support we are providing off-grid electric vehicle charging via our HPU, green hydrogen-powered generator, supporting Defence’s transition to a fleet which is zero-emissions at the tailpipe by the end of December 2027.

Our zero-emission solution combines our HPU technology with fast-charging posts, providing seamless scalability for off-grid EV charging in various applications. This solution bypasses the constraints of the distribution grid capacity, providing EV charging even in areas where grid upgrades are delayed or not feasible.

In our latest post GeoPura CEO, Andrew Cunningham, considers the delay on the ban of new petrol and diesel cars and vans, from 2030 to 2035 and calls for a scope extension to include mobile engines attached to movable electricity generators and similar equipment.

We're thrilled to announce as our Sustainable Power Partner! They’re providing the energy for the full day with their HPU, which generates electricity from green hydrogen.

GeoPura uses renewable energy to produce hydrogen fuels. This fuel is then converted into electrical power via a hydrogen fuel cell during the event, the only by-product is water. 💦 By using a HPU instead of traditional diesel generators, we are reducing carbon emissions and improving air quality.

HyMarnham Power, our joint venture with J G Pears, is set to transform a former coal-fired power station into a clean energy hub as our green hydrogen project is shortlisted for the UK Government's Net Zero Hydrogen Fund.

The project, based in the East Midlands, will develop the production, storage, and transportation of low-carbon hydrogen. Representing a total initial investment of £50 million, the project is contributing to the hydrogen economy and driving significant strides towards the UK's net zero ambitions.

The 2023 BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour will be the first-ever major sports TV production powered entirely by green hydrogen. Collaborating with European Tour Productions, IMG and Film & TV Services, two GeoPura HPUs will supply zero-emission electricity to the broadcast compound powering the production and live global coverage.

Used in place of high-polluting diesel generators, it’s estimated that the HPUs, hydrogen-powered generators, will save a total of 16.4 Tonnes of CO2 compared to the 2022 tournament.
