The Old Shead open from 9.15am this morning serving freshly baked cinnamon, poppy seeds, cinnamon and cardamom and cheese buns by Boho Cakery as well as delicious Carrot cake, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Sausage Rolls, Brownie, Flapjack, Rocky Road by Lambert Rustic Foods Ania Lambert together with great coffee from Stamford Coffee Company.

Exciting news....a new range of Swedish buns comes to the Old Shed from Thursday this week!

We have some fantastic live music to take you through our beer festival this weekend 🎤🎼🍺

Friday at 8pm, we have singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist, Benjamin Martin. Ben spent 5 years performing as lead singer of indie-rock band Don’t Forget Rupert however is now working as a solo artist performing at functions functions, weddings and pub gigs. Sing-along hits from the 60’s through to present day; an eclectic mix of tunes ranging from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran and Queen to The Killers

Then Saturday , also from 8pm, covers band Listen Like Thieves will perform a wide range of songs and styles of music from the 1960s through to recent hits. Although they have a ‘folk’ style set up they play pop, rock, a bit of jazz. Take a look at their page below for more details

Sunday, to ease you through the afternoon, we have a Sunday afternoon acoustic session with Jake Wells from 3pm. Rutland-based acoustic artist and singer, Jake has either a guitar or piano in hand and offers laid-back covers of classic songs whilst applying his own style and emotive vocals to contemporary hits

Looks like a return of the good weather for the weekend so we’ll be kicking off at 4:30 this Friday with 10" & 12" pizza plus we’ll be firing up the Courtyard BBQ with a selection of Burgers (including plant based & vegetarian), Skewers and Pork Loin Ciabattas

Good food, great drinks…last push to the weekend!

Did we mention the Old Shed do breakfast rolls and iced lattes aswell as freshly baked savouries and cakes?

Also the cafe is fully licensed from 11am so if coffee isnt your thing, perhaps we can pour you a glass of Pimms, a chilled rose or a lovely hand-pulled ale…we have it all!

Pub couple have branched out to open café next door Cake-lovers beware - a new chance to satisfy sweet-tooth cravings is opening and it’s claiming to offer the best carrot cake around.

Following The Old Sheds wonderfully supported soft openings this month, we are so pleased to share that the café doors will be fully open Wednesday through to Saturday every week from 31st July🙌
The feedback received has warmed our hearts and the aim is for this renovated courtyard outbuilding to add to an already strong village hub. So, loving all things baking, the Old Shed hopes to provide a place to share time with family, meet friends or just read the paper with a locally brewed coffee and an even more locally baked plate of loveliness 🫶 oh and dont forget those four legged friends...they are most definitely welcome!

The café will not open this week due to staff holidays however we will be ready for you on the 31st!
