Regional Culinary Richness Masterfully Displayed In Stuttgart, international Regional Teams present the delicacies of their local area to a wide audience. The exhibitions are “to view only” and show culinary craftsmanship at the highest level.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mark Codgbrook, a huge supporter of the Team and one of its early chairs as part of his RAF Command Catering role.
We are deeply saddened to hear the devastating news that our dear friend Mark Codgbrook, a devoted member of the Salon Culinaire family sadly passed away last week. Mark was truly one of life’s gentlemen, so kind, so approachable, and willing to do whatever he could to help and support those around him. Always offering encouragement and support to the young chef competitors that would come into the Salon Culinaire office.
Mark had a successful career as a commissioned officer in the RAF, so naturally brought a strong sense of duty with him when supporting the Salon Culinaire family along with an exceptional sense of humour. He was very much looking forward to joining us again in March, alas he will be watching from above. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family and all his friends at this sad time.
Rest in peace Mr Codgbrook aka ‘Mark medals’
We had an opportunity on Thursday evening to say thank you to some of our sponsors and award some of the Team their CSCAT Combined Services Culinary Arts Team medals as well as honour our outstanding achievers. Thank you to the chefs in the kitchen and the front of house staff for a fabulous meal and a memorable night.
We are pleased to have been talent scouting at Ex Joint Caterer over the last couple of days. Some great skills out there in the Army, Navy and RAF Catering teams and we look forward to inspiring a new generation of chefs. Well done to the RAF who became Inter Services Catering Champions this year 🏆
Good luck to our ex Vice Captain Grahame Wickham - go and smash it!!!
We are delighted to have Grahame Wickham back in the final of National Chef of the Year. After speaking to a few previous winners after last year’s final they encouraged him to try again. This year he’s got the gloves on and will be pushing hard to ensure his food is the best it can be to try and be on that podium.
Head over to the NCOTY website to read his article in full >> https://bit.ly/3PVA74Q
