Stuck in hospital and thought, what better way of celebrating than taking one of those feeling-sorry-selfies 😁

We've been a little bit under the weather that last couple of weeks which brought us down to sunny Salford last week...and so the medical mystery tour continues, as does the hospital stay.
I know we still have lots of messages to reply to and have let quite a few people down 🫤 Just to say you we'll be back back on our feet as soon as we can and just to give us a little time 🙂

Just another week of being bowled over by the support and general do-goodery from you hungry horace's 😋 I know its been said before many a time, but we really do appreciate just how busy you keep us and how much you love our Really Nice Stuff 😍 The feedback is overwhelmingly positive and with you all still buying our clobber whilst introducing your Really Nice mates is just the best feeling in the world ❤️

This week we'll be rocking the tasty stuff at the ever popular Middleton Crafts and Food Market at the mighty Middleton Masonic Hall.
This event really is a home away from home for us- the shere selection of unique gifts and friendly faces that keep good folk like yourselves returning 😁 This Sunday promises to be no different, with a selection of around 30 established and local businesses peddling their finest pressies, produce and paraphernalia for your retail delight 🥳

Naturally, we'll be in the bar area with a selection of the tastiest treats alongside pastry goodness, cheese and some amazing homemade preserves 🤤
And if that weren't enough the licensed bar will be open and the kitchen will be putting on some good grub to really make your Sunday.

So pop down and see us from 10 and live your Sunday to the fullest!

The insurances have been certified and the oven has been fired up 🔥 We'll be putting that smiley, furry face and slightly reflective head back behind a stall to give you all an opportunity your taste buds really long for!

From 9am you'll be able to grab yourself a slice of the tastiest treats on the str**ts! Whether it's a heavenly serving of our gooey creme egg brownie, an incredibly indulgent bite of our white chocolate and bueno tiffin, or one of our classic biscoff bakes we're certain you'll find something that'll tick your treat box for the week ✅

We had an amazing weekend at the Middleton Crafts & Food Market and were absolutely bowled over to see sooooo many of your lovely faces! A massive thank you to all of those who came and procured a slice of something nice and of course the hard working team at the Masonic who work tirelessly to make sure every event is an absolute success 🥳

It's fair to say we've definitely felt the love ❤️ And it would seem it's most definitely in air, so what better way to celebrate than with one of our Valentine's day themed boxes ❤️🎁

Better late than never eh? 😂 After a brief hibernation and a delightful dance with the Tax Man we're back in the kitchen cooking up a Storm! And with food reason, for this weekend we're back in our favourite place at the Middleton Crafts & Food Market 🥳🥳🥳

Honestly it's got to be last year since we were last behind our stall 😬 We cannot wait to get back with an amazing smorgasbord of flavour sensations to blow away the cobwebs from those taste buds and treat them to a journey like no other!
As ever, the list of talent is just outstanding with over 30 local food and crafty folk with an eclectic mix of gifts, homewares and tasty makes to really make your day! And as if that wasn't enough the pop up Kitchen will be pumping out some belting cuisine, alongside some rather tasty homemade cakes 🍰

We've got quite a few bookings for the year already that we're really excited to share with you over the next few weeks- keep your eyes peeled 👀

OLDHAM CATS CHRISTMAS FAIR @ MIDDLETON MASONIC HALL

We had the most AMAZING weekend at the Hard Grafting Geeks Collective Comic Con and Toy Fair 🥳 It hard to even know where to begin! Bumblebee was just one of the many cosplayers enjoying our Really Nice Stuff, and you lovely lot didn't disappoint either. We were run ragged for a good chunk of the day and sold up by half 3 🤯 A massive thank you to all the cosplayers, organisers and if course Amanda J Rix and her team of dedicated staff at the mighty Middleton Masonic Hall.

So, let's talk about this week!

We're going to crack open the treat box train and it'll be pulling in at a station near you very soon, with the flavour carriages full to bursting. Keep your peepers peeled for more details this evening! They'll be a limited run this week, so once they're gone, they're gone 🙂

Then this Sunday we'll be absent from the Oldham Cats Christmas Fair as we do the family tango, BUT the very kind folk of The Masonic Hall have selflessly agreed to host a number of our bakes available from the bar, alongside their gathering of traditional cakes 🥳
You'll be able to snaffle from a selection of our Really Nice Stuff and enjoy the seasonal shopping experience whilst also supporting the massively worthwhile cause that is Oldham Cats 🐈

Don't forget, the sublime Shell Coffee will also be carrying a selection of made-without-gluten goodies at Coffee Bar 2nine2, including our very popular take on a classic Victoria Sponge 🤤

MIDDLETON CHRISTMAS MINI CIN AND TOY FAIR - SUNDAY 19TH NOVEMBER 11AM TO 5PM @ Middleton Masonic Hall

As 9 weeks has absolutely flown by, our time at the massively popular The Cake Hole at Lodge pop-up comes to an end 🥳 We had an absolute ball during our time with the Lodge family and we're absolutely thrilled about just how popular it was! A massive thank you has to go out to The Ice Cream Shop at Lodge and ar Kaz at The Community Store at Lodge for having us as their neighbours, and of course everyone else at Team Lodge for their massive support and encouragement. We will be returning to the Lodge for their Christmas Craft Fair event, details which we'll drop in good time 🙂

There's definitely a lot to unpack and think about for the future. But in the meantime, it's back to business as usual at Really Nice Stuff HQ. And that means having a look see at your next opportunity to grab a slice of the action!

In the summer there was this amazing event organised by Hard Grafting Geeks Collective that saw Middleton Masonic Hall host it's first ever Comic Con in the area. It was an absolute roaring success, with so many of you telling us how much you'd enjoyed it and what a r**t good day out it was for the whole family ❤️ Don't remember? Well worry not for your time has come again!
This SUNDAY from 11am we'll be at the Middleton Christmas Mini Con and Toy Fair and we've got to say we're pretty excited 😁 With over 30 stalls all peddling the finest of wares including themed artwork, industry memorabilia AND some of our finest Really Nice Stuff, it genuinely is a no brainer! Just like last time, there'll be photo opportunities a plenty and a chance for you and your children (or just you) to meet some of the best cosplayers we've ever met!

After hundreds of voluntary and planning hours, cups of tea and ticket sales, Middleton Scarefest has drawn to a close for another year. As the things that go bump in the night return to from whence they came and the Mill devolves back to its original state, we're happy to chalk this year's festivities up to an overwhelming success! Thank you to all of you who came and spent local pennies. Whether it was with one of the outstanding small businesses, with the bar or even on the tour, your support means the world to everyone there. It wouldn't be a success without you, so thank you ❤️

After weeks of prep and opening a cake shop and continuing to fulfill the absolute wealth of private orders and supplying our growing list of business customers...we're taking a well earned rest this week. The Cake Hole at Lodge will remain closed this week while we take a breath 🥴
We'll return to our cozy little comfort zone on Wednesday 8th November 🙂 We're incredibly grateful for all the support we've had with our adventure so far and we're thrilled to continue taking things to the next level!

BUT, worry not as you'll still have an opportunity to grab your fill of our Really Nice Stuff and a slice of the action at the ever popular Middleton Craft and Food Market 🥳 This Sunday 5th November Really Nice Mother will be back behind the stall, commanding at her fingertips a positively pleasant plethora of sweet treats and delicious delights. As ever, she'll be in the good company of a large coven of crafters, each offering unique gifts, homeware or makes to make you squeal with delight! Maybe jewelry from the very talented Alternate Image, something fun from Adorable Creations By Sarah, or even a mahoosively tasty bit of pastry from the lovely Shell Coffee you'll leave with a spring in your step and will have put a big smile on the face of a small business.
With some bloomin' scrummy traditional cakes being served on the bar, alongside a good selection of hot and cold drinks AND a seasonal menu from the pop-up kitchen, your gastronomic needs will be met wholesale.

From 4.30pm both today and tomorrow, the Mill will host a gathering of grizzlies, haunts and general not-rights. And that's just those of you with tour tickets! 😬

While the Mill offers all things frightful, The Engine House at Lodge is providing sanctuary from things that go bump in the night (and the British Weather) with a whole host of brilliance 🥳 AND it's all inside under the cover of this enchanting space!

We know you're going to work up an appetite. That's why there'll be a solid selection of tasty homemade fayre on offer. It looks good, it tastes good and it makes a soul happy. Firsthand experience over in this corner 🤤🤤

Scarefest Eve ! Were super excited to be welcoming you to Lodge Mill tomorrow & Saturday Evening! Hot food, craft stalls, Really Nice Stuff goodies and bar available along with fancy dress competition at 5:30 and 6:30 and a carved pumpkin comp that will be judged live on Halloween! Our scary tours start with kids tours 4:30 - 6:20 and adult scary tours 6:30 - 8:50. Very scary tour at 9pm.

We've been having an absolute SCREAM at The Cake Hole at Lodge these past few weeks. We're proper chuffed so many of you have popped down to see us at our new gaff and we're equally happy to have seen soooooooo many new faces!

We've noticed some horrifying changes to the Mill and there's no signs of it stopping. It's said that the Mill itself is a point of transition for things that don't belong in this world, or even in this timeline.
So Historic Cheapside have done what any sane community organisation would; ticketed it and turned it into one of the most successful Halloween events the area has ever seen!

Middleton Scarefest 2023 - Kanky's Returns will run this Friday 27th and Saturday 28th October 🥳 Year on year, hundreds of people come to enjoy this affordable, voluntary run, immersive-horror experience. With more jump scares than an episode of Most Haunted, it's the ONLY way to celebrate Halloween. With milder tours from 4.30pm and scarier tours (recommended 12a) from 6.20pm, the evening will end at 9pm with a final tour that will test even the hardiest of bladder control. The tickets are still flying out- you really don't want to miss out on this amazing experience. Be sure to message The Ice Cream Shop at Lodge and get yourselves booked in.

Which leads us very nicely into this week's schedule!

Our Cake Hole will be open on Wednesday only this week, with a taster of what you can expect on our stall this weekend.

Then Friday and Saturday get your tushes back down to the Mill, where Really Nice Mother will be serving up a haunting selection of ghoulish gourmet delights from 4.30pm. And she won't be alone, with a selection of some of the finest craft and artisan wares AND food, drink and cocktails on the ground floor in the enchanting Engine House. Whether you're Scarefesting or not, it makes for a lovely evening out that's not going to break the bank.

As many of you know (and if you don't where on the planet have you been?!) We've carved out our own little corner of sunny old Middleton in the form of The Cake Hole at Lodge 🎉🎉 Which is bloomin' brilliant.

Courtesy of Lodge Mill and being next door neighbour's to the amazing The Ice Cream Shop at Lodge and The Community Store at Lodge, we're part of a very up-and-coming, vibrant location that showcases the best of local historic architecture (it's in a refurbished mill) and in the heart of the local creative community.
