Another venue gone. Jimmy's Liverpool had really become a great venue for all the alternative and heavier bands in the area, and it's gutting to see another go.

We had some really good times playing and watching.

It is with our deepest regret to say that despite our best efforts, we must announce the imminent closure of Jimmy’s Liverpool.

Our last day of trading will be next weekend on Saturday 30th September.

We had an incredible first 6 months when we launched the venue in August 2019 just before COVID, but it’s been an uphill battle since then to keep things going amongst everything that has been happening in the world and particularly the hospitality sector.

The Directors and the staff have done everything possible with various initiatives and events to keep things going but we have been working against post-COVID conditions and a major downturn in the economy which has become increasingly worse as time has gone by.

We would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported Jimmy’s in Liverpool and been a part of the journey.

It would be great to give Jimmy’s Liverpool the send off it deserves so if you’re in the area please pop in for a pint and a farewell, see a gig, grab a burger and enjoy it one final time.

This news does not affect our long established Manchester business which will be open as usual..

ANNOUNCEMENT.

So today we are sad to announce that our best friend and bassist Danny has decided its time for him to hang up the bass and focus on other aspects of his life; his growing family and career. Tonight is his last gig with us at TANK Bar - St Helens.

He's been with us since the beginning, almost 13 years jamming together. He was with us getting to Bloodstock, Download, recording our debut album Legion, two music videos, some epic support slots and playing up and down the country with the likes of Hatebreed, Skinbred, Tyketto, Kobra and the Lotus, Oceanis, Asylum City Zoo, Reaper, Pelugion - just to name a few!

While it sucks he leaves us, the 3 of us truly wish the best of luck. Here's a few snaps of us over the years. We'll miss you dude!

Last night was a bit special!

So many faces from yesteryear in the same place to re-live the days of old! Seriously, it was like a packed house from 15 years ago! Everyone had a BLAST!

Dan Bibby & The Aesthetic K***s opened the night with a high energy, light hearted and enjoyable set! Attic Theory and mammoth wall of groove riffage had all the heads banging and Ogun Liverpool hitting the stage for the first time in 14 years was nothing short of triumphant! Head banging, fist pumping & moshing!

Thanks so much to TERIC LIVE for having us and the crew at North Shore Troubadour for hosting a massive bunch of sweaty goffs!

Well it took a year to finally come together, but last mighy it fu***ng came together, then exploded, in the good kinda way!

It's Metal 2 The Masses Merseyside final time! Tonight will decide which Merseyside band will go on to play Bloodstock Festival later this year.

10 years ago we had our magic moment and went on to play the New Blood Stage, and it was an incredible competition and experience!

Tonight 2 of our boys are filling in for competing bands. Stu is sitting in on drums for Novacrow and Marty will be bringing some rumbling bass for NESH , and our friends in Raised By Wolves complete the competing line up.

Think we all struggled with the new setup of the venue a fair bit, it is a far cry from the Zanzibar of old at the moment. But hopefully in time some of the obvious changes that need to be made to improve the sound will come. It didn't stop anyone delivering a set to an eager crowd!
