Fresh start in my new perfume lab, and I couldn't resist revisiting some iconic perfume ads to adorn the walls. One of them, the legendary 1980 Magie Noire by Lancome.

Inspired by this discovery (and the breathtaking view), I recreated my own 1980s-inspired perfume ad with the photo I took in Santorini, alongside my gorgeous daughter and our beautiful Hermia. This one's for the dreamers and scent explorers

Mother's Day A bittersweet day having lost my beloved mum only a few short weeks ago. It's the fragrance of memories and of a love that transcends time.
I bury my nose in her clothes, desperately inhaling the remnants of the unique 'scent of mum'. I wish I could bottle it, preserve this olfactory memory forever. But what she truly left behind is far more precious than any perfume - a treasure trove of memories, each one an echo of her life.
My earliest fragrance memory of mum is L'Aimant by Coty, a scent that transports me back to childhood love and warm hugs.
She adored perfume, embracing its power to transform and express. Her fragrance journey mirrored her life, evolving with each chapter. From the youthful exuberance of Youth Dew and the citrusy freshness of Aqua Manda, to the playful charms of Charlie and the romantic floral allure of Anais Anais, she explored them all.
But her heart always held a special place for mother nature's own scents. Clove scented 'Pinks', delicate roses, heady whispers of stephanotis, apple blossom and sweet Devon Violets.
While I can no longer hold her, I can hold onto her favorite perfumes. Wearing them is like wearing a hug, a reminder of her laughter, her strength, and her unwavering love.
Over the last seven years, she pretty much wore one single scent which she called 'Karen's First'. It was actually the first perfume I ever created and I gave her a bottle of it on Mother's Day 2017. Last week, finding the original bottle, slightly dog-eared but cherished, in her bedside table truly melted my heart.
For all the mothers still with us, treasure every moment and hold them close., For those we have lost, cherish their memories and speak their name often, as they say you are never truly gone until the last person says your name. Remembering my dearest mum, Lorna, love you always and forever. Xx

Women's strength has echoed through time. From ancient warriors, inventors, activists, even mythical goddesses (that make it on to a perfume bottle - the goddess of marriage, women, and family, and the protector of women during childbirth) and yet the fight for equality continues.
Time to: 'Invest' in women: 'Accelerate' women 'Support' women.
Achieving gender equality and women’s well-being in all aspects of life is more crucial than ever if we want to create prosperous economies and a healthy planet. However, we are facing a key challenge: the alarming $360 billion annual deficit in gender-equality measures by 2030.

Our top tip for spoiling mum this Mothers Day:
Prepare the bath: Run a warm bath, deep enough for her to fully soak and unwind. Add her favorite bath products, like bath bombs, bath salts, or essential oils, for an extra touch of pampering.
Set the Ambiance: Light several of our Cottage Garden candles around the bathroom, creating a soft and inviting glow. The combination of rose, orange blossom, lavender, and cut grass scents will evoke a feeling of summer and fill the air with a calming beautiful fragrance.
Dim the Lights: Turn down lights and let fairy lights and candlelight create a calming and spa-like atmosphere
Add Finishing Touches: Place a comfortable bathrobe and slippers near the bath for her to slip into after her soak. Prepare a small tray with a cup of tea, a slice of her favorite cake, and don't forget a heartfelt card and vase of flowers to make it extra special.
