Martine is the owner and main physio at Clyde Home Physio. She has been a carer in homes, community and also for family members. I’m addition she serviced in the Royal Navy for 6 years and is very passionate about the armed forces. As well as being a physiotherapist she is also a Brain/Complex injury Case Manager who assesses an individual after a Brain Injury to look at what input they made need from every point of view from housing, equipment, care, vehicles and more. I have worked in various areas of Physiotherapy so can help assist and advise with most of your needs however Clyde Home Physio was set up after her own journey trying to help a family member after they had a stroke. The rehabilitation given on the NHS is limited and Martine helped her own family member because assistance was not available. It’s frustrating for the person and it’s hard for the family when all they want to do is help. I have seen people continue to improve over months and years. It’s not just about physical ability it’s also about mental health and mental state. Quite often if you tell someone you can’t do something they believe it and give up. I never give up, with enthusiasm and having an open mind, willingness and someone with knowledge and experience who is right there with you to boost your confidence; it is amazing what you can achieve.
I work in the community so I come to your home or we go out into the community

I primarily work with
Elderly Patients
OST discharge from hospital after falls, illness, disease, Stroke
Parkinson’s
Multiple Sclerosis
MND
Cerebral Palsy
Dementia

However I have also a broad range of experience so often go out to see people who are recovering from a hip operation, knee replacement, ankle/wrist/elbow/neck injuries, Frozen Shoulder, Sports Injuries and very often I see people with back pain. Quite often people come to me with a variety of problems and we work together and make a plan to get on the right path :)
