Aside from making sure I don't get lost on back roads in the dark, Richard builds and maintains Citroen C1 race cars that compete in various championships. Next up RABsport is the C1 Racing Club Endurance race at Donnington in June.

Next event on the V***n Motorsport calendar:
The West Cumbria Motorsport Club organised Autotest at Bonny Farm near Moresby on Sunday 19th May.
An Autotest is an event where competitors are required to complete a series of runs around one or more courses in the quickest time possible. The quickest aggregate time at the end of the event is the winner. Typically a course takes 30-90 seconds to complete and include a lot of tight turns and narrow sections, so precision more than raw speed is the key to success.
The event is being hosted by the Stamper family and will be held in aid of the Loweswater Suite at West Cumberland Hospital.
Bonny Farm is a mixed terrain venue which test competitors skills over gravel and concrete. Over the years this venue has been popular with local motorsport enthusiasts - so I am looking forward to getting out there and getting the Impreza muddy!

When I'm not competing I'm often on marshalling duties.
My other vehicle, the Subaru Exiga GT, is kitted out with a light bar, fire extinguishers and first aid & rescue equipment.
It's maybe not a race winner, but it still plays an important part helping keep competitors and spectators safe.

My primary vehicle is a 1997 Subaru Impreza Sport.
This is my go to car for Autotests, Rallytests and Navigation Rallies
In 2023, this car carried me to third in Class 2 of the WCMC Autotest Championship. In 2024 I'm hoping to build on this and see how far up the league table I can get.
