It’s a great day out from Loch Cottage to Findhorn on the Moray Coast 🏖️ Stop at KJ’s Bothy Bakery in Grantown to pick up bread, savouries and the best coffee and cakes 🍰 ☕️ Walk along the beach, book a sauna and dip in the sea with the dolphins and seals! Visit Torta for lunch or tea!

I’ve found a new favourite cafe! High Street Merchants in Grantown on Spey is well worth a visit. I just couldn’t chose which of their delicious looking cakes to have with my coffee sat beside the log burning stove ☺️ Check out the doughnut on the top! Lemon curd inside and meringue on top! Wow! 😍 High St Merchants

We are lucky enough to have the best wee cafe in the area right on our doorstep in Boat of Garten. Gashouse Cafe has the best cakes! It’s impossible to choose but I went for a Rhubarb and Custard Blondie! 😋 Sit and watch the Strathspey steam train arrive, just a lovely experience! Book a ticket!

WE ARE MOVING!!

Our time at Achnagonalin has been awesome, and thousands of happy customer have enjoyed pizza from us here!

But it now makes economic sense to re-locate our pizza business to our premises in BOAT OF GARTEN!

From mid February (date tbc) customers will be able to enjoy Andersons Woodfired Pizza Takeaway as normal, or SIT IN!! alongside a delicious, small seasonal menu, at Andersons Restaurant & Woodfired Pizza!!

Whilst we will miss our unit in Grantown - we are pretty proud of what we have created here! - this is an exciting step for us, and we can’t wait to fire the oven up and get creating in Boat Of Garten!

Bumped into the wonderful Cairngorm Reindeers practicing for Christmas the other day ☺️ From the very experienced down to 6 month old babies who had only had a harness on the day before! You can visit the reindeers all year round either at the centre or out on the hill

We have thankfully missed out on Storm Eunice winds but we’ve had about 15cm of snow instead! ☃️❄️🌨

The UK’s Largest Sled Dog Rally is Back! 🐶🐾

The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) event is on the weekend 29th & 30th of January from 9am.

The majority of the teams are Siberian Husky's. However, there are also Greenland dogs, Eskimo dogs, Alaskan Malamutes, and Samoyeds.

There is a spectator area at the start and finish near the Hayfield at Glenmore.

**It is advised that people do not bring their own dogs or if they have to that they are to be kept on leads**

There will be food & refreshments. Also, a Marquee with traders in for you to have a browse.

Lovely guests at Loch Cottage this week enjoyed visiting the gorgeous Cairngorm Reindeer herd and made fresh tracks on quad bikes! All sorts of fun to be had in the snow! .quadtreks They also visited the wonderful Highland Wildlife Park What an action packed 4 day stay!

What a day! Glorious Glen Einich! It never fails to delight. We watched skiers climbing up to ski a remaining thin thrilling strip of snow in a gulley, one of the party had a refreshing dook in the loch and then we met friends walking the Kilt Walk in aid of Marie Curie and had a picnic! What’s not to like?! 😊
