It seems to me that our little ones grow up so quickly and I have been seeking crafty ways to preserve memories as they are created. Little hands drawing memory pictures of family days out, the home environment and of family visits and fun with friends soon pile up! Florence is forever drawing and I wanted a way of being able to cherish these magical moments seen through her own eyes. Every offering has a story behind it; whether it be baking with Mummy or the fairies imagined in the garden, every child's drawings are unique. I began a process of a combination of free machine embroidery and appliquéd fabric patches onto white cotton to transform children’s artwork into a keepsake that can be treasured always. This means you are able to display and keep a favourite artwork forever, rather than being thrown away when colours fade, paper crumples, or stored in a memory box. I complete the pictures as similar to the original art work as possible and can add appliquéd pieces to enhance the drawing if you choose. This works particularly well if there are blocks of colour. See the example of Holly's delightful picture of her and her Grandad holding hands. One picture is made exactly like her drawing, the other I have incorporated fabric as clothes to add a little colour. You can decide how you would like it to look and I can offer a choice of fabric swatches to match décor colours. With a wide range you can choose from pretty vintage florals to sailor stripes. The embroidered piece is presented in a white box frame (Rectangle & Square available) with a mount. The square frame measures 10" X 10" and the rectangle frame measures 10" X 8". Any personalised short quote, title or greeting that you wish to add can be incorporated. Drawings can be scanned or photographed, then emailed to me or send it in the post. Complex art work may attract an additional fee. I am more than happy to make larger, more detailed pieces on request. Costings / Delivery / Collection & Postage:

I also offer to send the gift directly to the recipient, beautifully gift wrapped in traditional brown paper with twine finished with tags.
