EC Music
I provide opportunities for musical education and development within schools through a variety of music making situations
I can offer Curriculum Music PPA cover within schools. In addition to this I can bring a musical dimension to any topic work schools may be undertaking through workshops and activity days. If you want an after school club - choir or music group then contact me for details. If you are currently studying GCSE / A level music and need some extra tuition then send me a message. I also offer piano tuition and ABRSM Theory tuition.

Oh how I love new syllabus day. It's an excuse to buy a whole set of shiny new books and spend some time playing some lovely music!
Congratulations Jayron on passing Grade 5 piano with Merit. The last thing you've done before leaving me to study for A levels! A fantastic achievement.
๐ถ ๐นToday I said goodbye to a pupil I've taught since he was 8. He's about to sit his A levels so he's finished piano lessons today in order to study. He also recorded his ABRSM Grade 5 today so, hopefully, this part of his piano playing journey will end in the success he deserves. Jayron, I will miss you! Good luck in everything you do! ๐น ๐ถ
Just in case anyone isn't sure about how to read first and second time bars ๐
Congratulations to James, a Merit for Grade 1 piano. All the hard work paid off.

Got to love trying to play the piano with nail extensions! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ ๐
Beautiful flowers from a lovely pupil who has finished his lessons to prepare for his A levels and whatever else the future brings him. Always sad to lose a pupil, but I'm welcoming two new starters after Easter!
I can't tell you how many times I hear "it was fine at home"
The fear is real ๐๐ถ
Congratulations to Hannah: Merit for ABRSM Grade 5 piano. Completely deserved. Well done!
Happy New Year to all my lovely pupils. See you all soon for more piano loveliness! ๐ถ

Brazilian pianist, Eliane Rodrigues, LITERALLY taking the performance below the stage! That time when you have to play a recital at De Doelen in Rotterdam and something is not right with the piano. Who says classical musicians don't have a sens...
After one of the most disrupted years of teaching ever, my ABRSM results are in!
Grade 1: merit
Grade 2: 2 X good pass and 1 X merit
Grade 4: 2 X good pass
Grade 5: high merit
Very proud of everyone, well done Jess, Harry, Heidi, Isabel, Julia, Hannah and Jonathan! All have had more online teaching than face to face in this last year and I think this is an incredible achievement for everyone.
Thanks also to all the parents and others who sort out IT issues on zoom, who bring their lovely children to me and who are unending in their support. Hopefully next year will see even more wonderful piano playing!
Happy holidays everyone!
So I think I was one of the few that managed to book my ABRSM exams straight away today with no problems! 5 pupils entered...now the work starts!!
Finally an official acknowledgment that some of us teach adults who just want to learn for fun and aren't working towards an exam... Hurrah! Face to face teaching for all!
For a girl who has palpitations if someone so much as pretends to put liquid near her piano, this nearly gave me a heart attack. A grand piano used as a kitchen island? It's bad enough they have a vase of flowers on it! Unacceptable!!!!! ๐คฃ๐ฑ
This is very clever! Love it.
Four cellists play Ravelโs Bolero on one cello, in acrobatic classical masterpiece An orchestral classic becomes an acrobatic masterpiece for four cellists, and a single instrument.
One year ago today was my last day at Fishburn Primary School because the schools shut. Today I'm back again for the first time since the world went mad! I'm not ashamed to say I was a little emotional about it all!!! So good to be back!
So, hopefully this means we can start face to face piano lessons again as of April 12th, subject to the state of the world etc etc. I cannot wait! ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ถ๐ถ
