I’ve been very inconsistant with my instagramming over the last few months. I’m not going to say sorry as I think a lot of people get really anxious when real life happens and social media life takes a back seat.
I’ve gone as far as I can keeping this news out of sight from my business side. So now it will all make sense! Especially as I’ll be giving myself a bit of maternity leave very soon when baby arrives.
I find it so awkward and cringy doing personal posts like this for biz, but its also a connection to you on the other side and just gives you the heads up as to why I’ve been a tad distracted🥴
It will also explain why you’ve only had head shot video’s for the last 9months😂
Ive been putting together little snippets of the real BTS’s of running a small biz whilst going through all the ‘wonderful’ 🙄 stages of being preggers that i’ll throw into a reel to keep you relatively entertained with laughter.

F R I Y A Y ! It starts early for me this wkd- off to Yorkshire for a sneaky get away thanks to the hubby turning 40 earlier this year in lockdown.
I hear weddings are most definitely back on, so if its your turn this wkd- have the most amazing time and now that you don’t get to sign anything anymore I’m more than happy to make you your own design marriage certificate for the day. Just like our gorgeous Sally has done for her couples. Even with vow booklets so those scraps of paper you write your last minute viws on look oh-so pretty on the photos🙌🏼

Making wise I’ve got a gorgeous little order to finish involving mini tassels and lots of chrome and gold foil for my gorgeous and then design wise ive got a completely new project to get cracking on with to create a fabulous logo and brand suite for the delicious
I thought by tidying and sorting my studio out and writing out my to-do list yesterday would help me get into the swing of things, but my head is very much still in fuzzy holiday mode- any ‘back to work’ tips appreciated!

I F Y O U ‘ R E 1 5 yrs old and have the inclination to have a go at this grown up business malarky and contact other grown up businesses for help I’m all over it.
I wish I’d known back when I was 15 that there doesnt come a moment where you suddenly just wake up being an adult, that you just happen to know what to do and that life just happens.
If you know a young lady that is figuring it all out- let her know she can do it and there’s no special trick, you just have to step into it all, make mistakes and trust that don’t worry, no-one really knows what they’re doing however many years later.
I am so privileged to be asked if I could help with Hannah’s levelling up with her stationery for her gorgeous bakes and also give her a brand spanking new set of logo’s, colours and imagery to match exactly what a fun and zingy fledgling and fun cake business should have!
All stationery is made from recycled waste and is biodegradeable. I love that I got to use the bank of baking puns out there too! PLUS, im pretty sure this is how t.ink would have looked at 15 too😋

Hallway, stairs and landing are nearly there- we’ve just got to wait for orders to arrive to finish those bits and then thats the whole ground floor completed👊🏻
Just two bedrooms upstairs to do, which for some of you, might not be what you expected! Glad my studio is already done, It’s getting to the point where you lose momentum!
Im waiting for the perfect candlesticks to appear in front of me for these candles- which will never be set alight of course!😎

U P D A T I N G behind the scenes. I say this- its mostly procrastination as i look at my to-do list and have to remind myself to pick just one, two or three main ones to complete rather than try and scramble over everything and end up no further🙄
However, in the mean time... small bundle orders are def my fave thing to do. Especially when I’m printing items that I’ve been privelaged to design as well- I still cant believe people pay me money to design and style their stuff🤩
has here branded tissue paper readh for her fathers day gift boxes, logo stickers, box seal stickers, silver sparkly swing tags and thank you cards so she can pop a personalised note on.
This isnt a standard ‘one design fits all’. Apart from logo based products, anything else I make for small businesses is designed with their individual brand in the forefront of mind.
Im still updating the bundles so they can be ordered online🙈

Good on ya if you just did your first day! Its never as bad as we build it up to be in our heads! Im a huge bad sleeper before a big day, but as I’ve got older I’ve realised that we are all (mostly) the same. Accepting that you’re nervous actually helps rather than trying to fight it! Also, I’ve concluded- first days are the best! Why?! You ask! Well, you don’t know what you’re doing fully so if you fluff up, it doesn’t matter!

Happy Tuesday- two birthdays for me today- one nephew and one niece. Hence why I put the PSA out every summer holiday for people to not make more babies! You’re good for most of the half terms though 😉💋

O H M Y D A Y S, do I procrastinate when it comes to webmin and admin! But I am determined to get my books for this last year done this week and also get cracking on updating what I sell on the website and etsy. Having developed do much over the year creatively Ive totally ignored other important aspects that I was learning about this time last year.
In the mean time, i also still need to do my nails as is apparent in these pics- whats the betting i get these done before my accounts?🤦🏻‍♀️
Bespoke branded designed vellum paper, stickers and box cards for .b.cakes including upgraded pearlised gold card and sticker paper. Everyone likes an upgrade right? Hopefully you can see the little details that only Sarah will have on her stationery- the ‘B’ specifically set in the corners to stay in your brain, the tick boxes being her hexagon shape, only her branding fonts used and only her colours used of black, white & gold.

The main thing about my oackaging is sustainability. I’ll only use recycled/recyclable material where possible. I also make sure details are in my branding colours of pastel pink, purple or blue- or white! Apart from the brown posting boxes!
You’ll normally get a Flaminio the flamingo magnet and a little personalised thank you note from me too.
It does help when customers have nearly the same colours as I do!
Oo, also showing off glitter backed card swing tags for - I couldn’t decide which colour Eilidh should have so I may have given her more than she bargained for! All kept neat and tidy with cute washi tape which unwraps & tears easy without damage to the product and much better than elastic bands!
Along with logo stickers and allergy stickers- a fab little package which has posted all the way up to the beautiful Scottish countryside!

What a f***ing year right? My wedding biz plans went right out the window, getting to markets for my cards disapated, meetings with shops and cafe’s to wholesale my cards halted and all that was left was a scramble online where EVERYONE else scrambled to as well. Not only do you then need the internet to really ‘see’ you, but you were up against absolutely everyone else in the world with the same flippin’ keywords(oh how I hate THAT word!
However, a chance request for a foiled box card instead of a greeting card has lead to a whole other funnel of t.inkdom and now I also get to design & make gorgeous little bits of stationery for other iccul biz’s and get to know other fabulous boss babes!
Stickers and white frosted vellum wrap for .b.cakes who wanted a sophisticated bee theme. Unique hexagon shapes to make her stand out and gold with black colours which jump out from white cake boxes.
Thank you Sarah! And thank you for THAT rainbow card that started all of this newness☺️

Completely out of my comfort zone and thrown into the world of small biz life. Oh how naive I was!
If I could go back to chat to 2019 Helen I would simply say- 1. Keep going. You’ll figure it out, its all good’- and then old helen would say- ‘sh*t, you look tired and grey and added a few pounds’ and i’d say- ‘yup, you have no frickin’ idea whats about to happen to the world lady’😂😂

A A A A A A H ! Oh my days how quick time is flying recently!
Fallen behind on the challenge and its one little goal I’ve set meself to complete. So I may be a bit of an over-poster this week🥴.
For newbies- this is me on a regular day(no make-up, but I have lightroom-app filtered) in my little studio cracking on with stationery designs & printing.
It’s only me, all day, everyday putting on all the different hats of a biz. Accounts is my most hated job, creating is my favourite and HR is my worst skill- luckily I’ve not had to hand out any disciplinaries so far and I hope I never have to ever again in my life time😉
