Lots of great announcements coming from Microsoft’s Ignite conference – a new premium tier is coming for SharePoint, incorporating what was previously known as Syntex. This will be known as SharePoint Premium, evolving the existing features but adding more too. Here are some of the major areas of functionality:

AI document processing (including auto classification)
Auto-translate
eSignatures (Microsoft native, DocuSign or Adobe Sign) with external access
Contracts management, including AI clause analysis (e.g. high risk contracts)
Business Documents app in Teams
Branded Document Portal for simpler sharing with external parties
Content redaction
Image tagging
Taxonomy tagging
Data Access Governance (oversharing)
Advanced security policies
Microsoft 365 Archive
Microsoft 365 Backup
