👋🏻 Hello everyone!

💚 It's been a while since I introduced myself, so I thought it was time to show up and say hi! My name is Jo and I'm the face behind Pretty Savvy Gifts, it's mainly just me but I do have help from my Hubby with packing in the busy seasons.

💚 I've always made handmade cards for friends and family but in 2019 I started Pretty Savvy Gifts, I could never find gifts and matching cards from one company, so that's why it all began (I love things to match or blend together!). Since then Pretty Savvy has continued to grow and this year I've focussed on my Etsy store and have been a Star Seller for the past 9 months.

💚 Love? I love Snails (not eating them though!) I love the way they gracefully move through life (the complete opposite to my lifestyle...), there is also something cute about their beedy bobs too! I can't really say I hate anything... those who know me will know I have to show kindness to everything and always have to see the positive in every situation!

💚 I live in South West Wales, originally I'm from Yeovil in Somerset. Home is now in Carmarthenshire which I share with my Husband Shaun, our two teenagers and our dog Toby. My family are my world, this is us in the picture below, a throw back from our family holiday in Greece.

💚 My Etsy stats showed me this morning that I have sent orders to 552 cities in 9 countries. I would love to do one of those map things where you scratch off the areas, another day maybe. In the meantime I'd love to know where do you live?

Short of time? When life gets hectic and we aren’t as organised as maybe we could be… don’t panic buy and reach for a gift on Amazon or another large retailer and pay over the odds for something that doesn’t show any thought and maybe has a high postage cost. We’ve all done it…scrolling to find something and paying more than we budgeted for.

Pop over to somewhere like Etsy and looks out for purchases which have short processing times which can also be sent direct. I’m happy to post direct and will even send you a photo so you can see what you have sent to them, making you feel much more included in the gift giving. That’s the difference between buying from a small business or a big corporate giant 💚

I'm working on some Mother's Day this morning, I can't believe we are into March already this year seems to be flying by.

As a family I feel so lucky that me and my husband still have our Mum's around us and the children have their grandmothers. I know many of you don't and I only hope that the happy memories help you through times like these. It was the anniversary of me loosing my Nanna yesterday and every year seems to be just as difficult as the last but I really cherish the amazing memories we have.

I've been quietly mastering a new piece of software and I think I've finally got there, so I wanted to share these with you. 🎯 A new thing for us this year but we are loving the darts, as in actually watching something on the TV together all at the same time!

The Darts Premier League 2024 is back on Sky Sports tonight and I'm already looking forward to family time. The teenagers love to play but precision on the dart board definitely isn't one of my stronger points. Making a card though with a dart player on it is much more my thing!

We did our first Christmas Fayre of the year yesterday. We loved chatting to the visitors and other stall holders and had lots of lovely orders, so this week will be a busy one. We also have another 2 fayres this week, Gorslas and Cefneithin 🥰

22 years ago today I met my rock at a firework party and we have been together ever since .ennis.967.

I had met most of Shaun’s family but not him or his father. Thanks too his Auntie Sara and dear late Uncle Geoff who held the party that night. I couldn't find a decent photo of us from back then so here’s a piccie of us on our wedding day.

💚 M E E T T H E M A K E R 💚

Trying to be brave this morning and post a meet the maker post. I actually took this photo a few months ago but it's taken me until now to post it! For those who have been around for a while will know I'm not a selfie person but with lots of new faces following my page I thought it was time I showed up!

A few things about me....

🧡 My name is Jo (short for Joanne) and my favourite colour is Orange. I love natural orange tones, the way the sky sometimes has an orange glow and all the coloured leaves in autumn.

🐌My favourite creature is believe it or not a Snail! Don't ask me why I just love their cute little beady bobs! Did you know Snails can sleep for up to two years at a time? I don't know about you but I could do with a serious nap right now x

🥰 If you ask friends and family I think they would describe me as caring and thoughtful. I'm definitely a people person.

❤ I have a wonderful family around me including 2 beautiful children, 2 wonderful stepdaughters and son-in-laws, 3 grandchildren, soon to be 4. We also have a much loved Chocolate cockapoo called Toby.

🎅 I love tradition, not just at Christmas but the things that we carry out year on year to make occasions special. All centred around family and not just about the gifts. For example we always have a birthday breakfast no matter how early it has to be, we spend Sundays in December watching Christmas movies and we always enter the lounge on Christmas day in age order with a cup of tea!

Christmas is coming but life still goes on!
