Can you believe it? It's the start of Autumn on Sunday. We've got our normal events on this month, beginning with Gypsy Jazz on Sunday from 4-7pm.

We will not be open for lunch Mon to Fri this month, and also will be closed for a week at the end.

Otherwise good food, good beers and the occasional bit of Craic as usual

Tomorrow is definitely the last Sunday in August, so it's music Sunday!!!!!

Just to remind you are monthly quiz is tonight, and our monthly Sunday music session is this Sunday 25th (not next, which is actually 1st Sept!)

Also a chance to go to the cinema on the peninsula this weekend. Update. This has been cancelled

Also we will have room for one more staff member from 1st September if anyone fancies a couple of months up here helping out in the kitchen

A lonely pair of pink shoes, a few empty glasses and a coke can left after our biggest day of the season. The tunes were cracking, the weather was superb, and the pub was bouncing. Thanks all for supporting us.

On a more serious note, we could do with a breakfast cook a few days a week, and experienced FOH help on a Sunday. Anyone localish interested?

Just saying. Guests arrived at 8 last night off the Skye ferry. We fed them. Asked for breakfast at 7.30. I did this. Asked what they were up to today. Going back to Skye!!!!! They'll be having food again tonight after the kitchen is theoretically closed.

I asked why? We wanted two days on Skye and we couldn't stay there! I smiled and wished them a good day. They are missing out on so much in our beautiful area

Had a visit from a 'Highlander' tour group today. Apparently a couple of shots were filmed here. The original film...

Rem music this Sunday. Iain, Dougie and Colm, so should be a blast. Am reinforcing the chairs as I type
