Just finished. Reupholstered Parisian gold chair. To brighten any corner.

The birth of an obsession...

This obsession with fabrics and making furniture beautiful again has been growing for a couple of years.
I knew it was serious when, instead of watching my favourite actor Tom Hardy in Taboo, I found myself pausing the programme to better examine the wallpaper behind him! Even worse, within 24 hours hours I knew the make.

My upholstery lessons began and continue with the fabulous, patient and extremely precise Nicky Gane. She has guided me through a stool, and 8 foot long Victorian sofa, an X Frame chair and currently a beautiful window seat.

I have also attempted to step up my learning with the brilliant Leigh-Ann at the Bristol Upholstery Collective.

As this is a passion and not my main job, I have choosen to work only on pieces I am in love with. I just couldn’t find pleasure working on a chair I didn’t care for, adorning it with fabric I would never pick. However, I really hope you like the choices I have made in terms of furniture, techniques and fabric.
