Exciting News! Join us on Friday, June 28th for an exclusive session on Modern Tactics for Switch, Scandi Skagit, and Spey casting!
After the fantastic feedback from our Open Day many of you enquired about more personalised tuition with John & Jim. Well here it is!
10.30am to 2.30pm on Friday 28th June, (week Friday).
Cost is £70.00 but the session will be intensive. Max of only eight anglers for the full four hours with Jim Fearn & John Walker.
Both are AAPGAI instructors. Jim one of the most experienced salmon instructors while John has a fantastic knowledge of double handed fishing on our local rivers.

🎣🎾 Wimbledon Break News at The Anglers Lodge at Jubilee Lakes! 🎾🎣
Dear Anglers and Fly Fishing Enthusiasts,
We’ve noticed that during Wimbledon fortnight, many of our customers trade their fishing rods for a spot on the couch to watch some world-class tennis. 🏆
During this time The Anglers Lodge will be taking a break from 1st July and reopening on 18th July. 🎾✨
However, until then, our shop and fishing lakes will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. Online orders will continue to be sent as normal during this period.
P.S Don’t miss out on some fantastic bargains on the Wychwood Fly Lines we have available in store and online!
While the tennis pros are perfecting their serves, we’ll be taking this time to refresh our stock and get ready for your next big catch. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you back with us after Wimbledon!

A little look at what goes on behind the scenes at Jubilee.
The lovely sunshine we had spurred on the w**d in the lakes. So it’s been all action this week. 🛶
Dave cuts the w**d in a boat, which takes several hours per lake. We then lay huge nets that span the lake and draw them through the top of the water, half a lake at a time and use a digger in to lift it out, as it’s unbelievably heavy!
The remainder has to be dragged off with giant rakes by hand before it sinks.
Unfortunately this time the heavens decided to open before we were finished so spent an hour or more in the pouring rain. Who needs the gym!😂😂

Trout rising everywhere this afternoon but usually not when my camera was pointing at them. Managed to snap one or two though. Lakes have been open for three weeks now and the fishing has been generally excellent, unlike the weather! No need to book though to be safe we'd maybe recommend giving us a ring if your travelling from far - 01388772611. Best patterns have been variable but overall the Wicked White Buzzer & Diawl Bach have done very well. Open as usual 10 to 4pm Thursday & Friday and 10 to 2pm on Saturday.

Rain rain go away…even the ducks are hiding today! 😂
Update on the fishing - We re-opened the lakes last week and had a great week and steady fishing. Best patterns were Buzzers, Diawl Bachs and small Damsels. Plenty of happy anglers and some good fishing. Nice to see everyone back and rods bent. Sandra and Dave

This is a question we get asked regularly and we’ve realised that our customers are spread far & wide, which means they don’t always get the opportunity to visit us.
So here we go, we’re super proud of the variety we hold in store! Past the feathers and threads there are 10 8x4ft tall boards, 8 4x8ft central boards with products from Veniard, Loon, Stonfo, Smhaen, Fulling Mill, Wapsi, Hairline etc and that’s before the range of tackle begins.
