*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL *YOUR TONGUE IS THE COMPASS* Wednesday, October 11th . Pastor Chris _*For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2).*_ Proverbs 18:21 says, _*“Death and life are in the power of the tongue....”*_ It parallels what the Master said in Matthew 12:37, _*“For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”*_ Through your thoughts, your character is formed, but it’s expressed through your words. Your mouth-work is your life. As revealed in our opening verse, Christian perfection or maturity is expressed primarily in your communication. If you want to go in the right direction in life, your tongue is the compass. If you offend in words, you’re sunk; but if your communication is wholesome, your life will be great. Your speech controls you. Proverbs 15:4 says, _*“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life...”*_ I love the way Peter puts it in 1 Peter 3:10; it says, _*“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.”*_ In other words, maintain the right confession. Your mouth is where your blessing is. Romans 10:10 says, _*“...with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”*_ It’s a principle. God said to Joshua, _*“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night...”*_ (Joshua 1:8). That means keep affirming the Word. No matter what’s happening around you, keep the Word on your lips. The Bible says, _*“When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up...”*_ (Job 22:29). Again, the emphasis is on what you say. When things are rough and tough, you’re not to wait to be lifted; you have a lifting power; it’s in your mouth. What is it that you want? It’s all in your mouth. That’s the compass with which you steer your lif

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL *SOAR HIGHER* Monday, October 2nd . Pastor Chris _*Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit (Jeremiah 17:7-8).*_ When someone says to you, “Things are so expensive now; prices have gone up.” Smile and say, “I’ve gone higher than the prices. I’ve ascended beyond inflation.” That should always be your mentality. From experience, we’ve only known prices of goods and commodities to always keep going higher. The cry has always been that things are getting more expensive. So, if it’s happening again, why do you care? Don’t let it trouble you, because you’re the seed of Abraham. Your life is different. I found out in my Bible that God’s people always soared in hard times. Isaac prospered in the midst of extremely harsh economic conditions (Genesis 26). Don’t be troubled; just raise your standard higher; soar higher than the world’s market forces. Let your mind soar beyond the country where you live. Think how big God is, and what He can do with and through you. We shine brighter in the dark. When everything is bright, not everyone’s light will be noticed. But when it’s dark, even the dimmest flicker will be noticed; every light shines in the dark. The Bible says, _*“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee”*_ (Isaiah 60:2). It’s time for you to shine! The Bible says, _*“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”*_ (Romans 8:28). When inflation skyrockets and the prices of commodities increase, don’t cry or c

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, WEDNESDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2023. Pastor Chris TOPIC: ✨ INCONTROVERTIBLE BENEFITS OF FELLOWSHIP ✨ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14). The incontrovertible benefits and blessings of fellowship with the Holy Spirit can’t be overemphasized. The Holy Spirit wants to be involved with every part of your life, and you must let Him. He wants your progress, advancement, prosperity, and success to be evident for all to see. Sometimes, a Christian might experience a period of remarkable growth and progress where things are moving swiftly and smoothly. However, there may be occasions when everything suddenly seems to stall. Despite attempting various strategies and ideas, nothing appears to change. Such scenarios often arise when one starts neglecting the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their personal lives. When the speed or rate of growth reduces or completely stalls, either in numerical growth, finances, or both, and it becomes evident that the previous approaches that worked for others and yourself are no longer yielding the same results, what should you do? The best thing to do if you want to come out of that situation and elevate your work to a higher level is to fast and pray with the understanding that you are initiating a change and transition within yourself. The focus of the fast, therefore, should not be about changing the situation, as that is not the root problem. Rather, the key lies in strengthening your personal fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Fasting is a way of turning your spirit and mind away from the carnal things of this world in order to focus them on the Spirit; you set your heart and your mind on the Word in study, meditation and prayer. Remember, the objective of the prayer and fasting is to nurture and develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. By prioritizing this aspect of you

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL, MONDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2023. Pastor Chris TOPIC: ✨ LEARN TO TALK TO THE HOLY SPIRIT ✨ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14). Many of us are familiar with praying to God the Father, and talking to the Lord Jesus Christ all the time. It’s also essential for us to recognize the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, and commune with Him often and about everything. Talk to Him every day. I talk to the Holy Spirit more than I talk to any human person. Practise it. In the same way you’ve been talking to the Father and the Lord Jesus, consciously talk to the Holy Spirit. Address Him with recognition and reverence. Remember, He’s the conveyor of the presence and blessings of God; He’s the One who manifests God’s presence and His power wherever God wants it. Think about the fact that this awesome infinite personality of the Godhead lives in you and wants to communicate with you always. Interestingly, although His name is not “Holy Spirit,” He understands that you’re referring to Him or addressing Him because that’s how the Scripture refers to Him. It’s also amazing to realize that every time you talk to the Lord Jesus or pray to the Father, it’s the Holy Spirit who acts in response. So, while He responds to the Name of Jesus and fulfils the petitions you make of the Father, recognize and commune with Him as the doer of the work! Notice again what 2 Corinthians 13:14 says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” Who do we have the communion with? The Holy Spirit! While our legal fellowship is established through the Lord Jesus Christ, we are called to cultivate a vital relationship with the Holy Spirit. Talk to Him often. If you’ve been doing it, keep at it and encourage yourself in it. You’ll be amazed at how transcendent,

*Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional* _Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD_ _Friday, 8th September 2023_ *SAVIOURS AND CHAMPIONS* _And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau ;and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s_ *(Obadiah 1:21)* In Nehemiah 9, the prophet Nehemiah speaks of how God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, led them to the promised Land and blessed them abundantly. They took strong cities, possessed fruitful lands and enjoyed God’s goodness. However; the Bible says, *"Nevertheless they were disobedient and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn to thee, and they wrought great provocations“* (Nehemiah 9:26) As a result, God delivered them into the hands of their enemies. But here’s the beautiful part; In their time of trouble, when they tried out to God, He heard them from heaven. Out of His manifold mercies, He sent them saviours who rescued them from the hand of their adversaries. It’s amazing to see how God responded with grace and deliverance even after disobedience-sending them. It also bring to mind the story Joseph. Genesis 45:7 recounts how Joseph revealed himself to his brothers after they had sold him into slavery Despite the years of separation and the hardships he endured, Joseph recognized that God had sent him ahead to Egypt to preserve his family’s posterity and save their lives through a great deliverance . The foregoing mirrors what the Church is in the earth today. God has entrusted the Church with the responsibility to run His kingdom, His reign of righteousness in the earth. We, the Church, are the posterity of faith just as Joseph preserved his family’s posterity. We’re preservers of the earth. No wonder the Lord Jesus said we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Through us, the nations of the earth are blessed, because we’re the seed of Abraham. We’re the hope of the wo
