The event is FREE, all kids will get a voucher for a burger or hotdog and a drink served in Ashton Hall.

Currently doing lots of work teaching in a variety of schools. Supply/cover/assisting its great to see students I’ve taught martial arts to in their academic school environment!
I’ve been in Ripley, Central, Morecambe Bay, Myerscough college and Our Lady’s.

Still offering private tutoring to students especially as exam season is approaching! (GCSE English / Language studies / 11+ tutoring or homework aid / any subjects)

£25 in person tutoring per hour

As some of you will already be aware I have made the difficult decision to leave Activ8.

I hope all the students continue to train hard with their capable instructors.

I will be keeping this page open for a little while as I plan my next adventure.

I will be offering private tutoring in a variety of academic subjects in the future. Help with homework (motivation and discipline to complete on time) phonics/reading, primary literacy and numeracy, English language, Spanish, biology, French and more…
Aimed at students of all ages who need a little help online or in person.

Great work at the weapons class today! I hope you all enjoyed it! The students were introduced to nunchucks, sai, Bo, bokken, escrima sticks and the older students worked with the rubber knives.

Activ8 are looking for assistant instructors and lead instructors to join the team.

Applicants must have:

Experience teaching young people

Good character as expected of traditional style martial arts instructors to be good role models(respectful, responsible, compassionate)

If no prior qualifications in instructing or martial arts, must be willing to attend extra training sessions on the job.

Preferably:
Own transportation
Instructor qualification
Minimum level 2 qualification in any subject (GCSE)

Our Carnforth civic hall class on a Wednesday 6pm-7pm is at risk of being closed due to being non-viable.

Gradings aren’t easy! Thank you to Sensei Andy and the guys who trained with me today so I could be assessed. 😊 A few minor injuries but that’s nothing new!
