Steve Marrs Web Design
Steve Marrs Web Design offers web design services to independent companies who don't have the time and/or knowledge to do it for themselves.
Let me look after your website, while you run your business.
Another new site live for another of Chester's great independent businesses - Ginger Monkey Number 31 (www.gingermonkeyroasters.com)
You can find Ginger Monkey at 31 Christleton Road in Chester and it is the epitome of the type of business I love to work with.
Ginger Monkey is a family (and dog) friendly independent coffee shop and roastery owned by the lovely (and ridiculously hard working) couple Hayley and Cal.
I mainly worked with Hayley on this pretty large project, with the main aims of combining their existing websites (one for the coffee shop, and one for the roastery), and to bring it inline with their overall brand identity.
I've really enjoyed working with Hayley (and her prompt and thorough feedback - always a good thing), and we'll hopefully be doing another little project in the future... but in the meantime, please support Hayley, Cal and their great team at Ginger Monkey.
It's Nice to keep things ticking along! Two client sites launched in the last few weeks, another nearing its conclusion (hopefully before the end of the month)... and here we are with confirmation of another new project: Kookaburra bakehouse in Chester.
Kookaburra has a great established brand and after agreeing on the brief for the site I'm looking forward to working on it and it taking shape.
As past of my social media plans I'm starting to post more on here... so I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm Steve, a Cumbrian, husband and dad of two. I've over 15 years experience in sales and marketing, including over a decade of what I used to describe as "dicking about" on my employers website.
I love working with owners of independent companies, getting to know you and your business, and working out what kind of website best suits your requirements. Get in touch if you need help.
There's an old saying that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Having faced the most serious threat to my life in the last 12 months I can certainly say that I agree with this. As I approach the end of my immunotherapy treatment I certainly feel like I've hit a stride that quite possibly wasn't there beforehand. There's more drive in me to push forward and grow it as a business than ever before.
So, here's a of me as Elton John as I've paid homage to Rocket Man! I've had this one on the backburner for a number of months now, but now feels like the right time to share it with you.
Over the weekend I set up what I'm calling "The Big Plan", with goals, tasks and commitments for the second half of 2023. This includes committing to being more consistent on social media, as well as getting my website fully back up and running with regular new blog posts... and goals for client sites, as well as bringing on new clients. So, if you, or someone you know need a professional and affordable business website comment below, or DM me.
As I said on a post a little while back... here's to getting s**t done!!
You may have seen my recent story
mentioning this news... but I thought I'd lash it on here.
James at is one of my original clients
- he basically got sick of me pestering him in the old
Chester Market and eventually gave in and agreed to
let me design his original website! Now that he's moved
to Watergate Street and opened up the new DBT
venue we thought it was time to give the website a
facelift.
Once it's ready, keep an eye out for another Matrix
themed like the original from
2020.
I'm looking to take on more projects before the end of
the year, so if you need a website, get in touch.
