Peace Pebble™ #mindfulness #meditation anchors & stress relief products & jewellery. Wow, how polymer clay has changed over the years! Anyhow, back to the story.
I've been at the craft table now for over 40 years, dabbling in this and that. I think I've tried most things over the years (test me - I love to try new things :) )
In 2012, while attempting to de-stash my craft cupboard (well room, actually - these things have a habit of taking over your life!), I came across some polymer clay character buttons I had made as a teenager and I suddenly felt the n

This piano stool used to belong to my grandma and accompanies the piano I inherited from her. Mum and I reckon it could be 100 years old or more. But it was in dire need of some TLC. A quick rub down, oiled and now reupholstered ready for another 100 years. No guesses why I chose this fabric!
What a show!
Should be having an early night but can’t stop Aurora watching! Midlands, UK
Hard to see with naked eye but cameras are picking it up. This is 4 second exposure on iPhone using ‘Even Longer’ app.
Haven’t had a lot of time to spend time in the craft den until recently. So I was pleased when inspiration suddenly struck and I decided to make these graffiti-inspired brooches. All made from polymer clay, no paint was used. Finished at and donated one to while on holibobs in Cornwall.
Rare crafty day out at The Creative Craft Show at NEC, Birmingham, helping out on the British Polymer Clay Guild stand sharing members’ makes and doing demos with Fiona Abel-Smith/PolyOriginals Ange Smith and Angela. Lots of interest in as an art medium and hopefully inspired people to get creative with clay and join the Guild.
“I came in feeling stressed and left feeling relaxed and calm”
“It’s been great meeting new people and making new friends”
“Although I was nervous, I’ve been made so welcome and really enjoyed the session”
These are just some of the lovely comments I’ve received about my workshops. 🥰
Yesterday was the last funded play with clay session at the renew169 Wellbeing Café, but it doesn’t have to end there. If there’s enough interest, I’ll continue to run monthly sessions at the café for anyone who wants to get creative and forget their worries for a couple of hours.
If you’re local to Towcester and want to find out more, get in touch!
A little late with last week’s makes at my Art for Wellbeing workshop at renew169 Wellbeing Café. But ain’t they cute?
We had a full house this afternoon for a jolly play with clay session at renew169 Wellbeing Café. Lots of hearts, mini houses and a turtle or two were the outcome.
All set up at the renew169 Wellbeing Café for our craft session. Today we’re making little houses.
George (of the Beatles) on meditation. He really was a wise soul.
In today’s fun workshop everyone was deep in concentration making their nativity scenes. There are still spaces available if you’d like to join us. Priority is given to people with disabilities. Contact me or [email protected]

This month I’m back at the renew169 Wellbeing Café running art sessions (in my favourite medium of course).
Today we made these super cute winter animal decorations.
So proud of my class - some have never touched polymer clay before, so they did really well.
Next week we’ll be making mini nativity scenes. If you’re local, have a disability and would like to find out more, DM me for more details.
Took the kids for a lovey day out to Kew Gardens this week. This is just a selection of photos I took for pattern and colour inspiration. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Blown away by the Marianne North Gallery.
Day 19/100
This weekend I’m at the British Polymer Clay Guild retreat in the midlands with lots of lovely clay friends, including the delightful Fiona Abel-smith who demoed polymer painting which inspired me to make this ‘painted’ bonsai. It’s 100% clay but loving the effect. Took about an hour to get this far. Still need to back it and decide whether it will be a (large) brooch or ornament.
Day 18/100 (I’ve got a bit behind).
Quite psychedelic this one!

Day 16&17/100 - I asked my artist companions to give me colour suggestions for these Peace Pebbles™ - even unusual colour combos look fab together. Which is your favourite combo?

Thank you to everyone who visited me and other artists at Silverstone Methodist Chapel last week as part of Open Studios.
I loved sharing my work, chatting to visitors and especially sharing my craft with participants on my workshop. Here are a selection of birdies they made. Didn’t they do well? 👏🏼😊
Three spaces left this afternoon (Sun 1st Oct) on this taster workshop with me. 😊
Great opportunity to learn more about polymer clay with this make and take taster workshop with Lizzi this Sunday afternoon 1st October. Contact her for more details or call in to Silverstone Methodist Chapel during the week 10-4 for daily demos.
Day 15/100 - here’s something I haven’t made for a while. A simple petal cane. Canes aren’t really my thing, but it’s good practise to make them every now and then.
Wow! Just discovered these land artists. I need to collect more pebbles!

Day 14/100: catching up with myself again! More acorns. Determined to make a bowlful of them.
Day 13/100: these birds were supposed to look like wood but ended up looking more like chocolate! Either way, I think they’re pretty plant pot buddies.
Day 12/100: Today’s makes are Ocean Wave Peace Pebbles™ with glow-in-the-dark crescent moon. Customer can’t decide between having glitter in them or not. Which do you prefer?

Day 11/100: catching up as I forgot to post this yesterday.
Chasing my tail this week, so only just putting this out there. I have a few spaces available for a polymer clay taster workshop at Silverstone Methodist Chapel this coming Sunday. I’ll show you how to mix clay and make pretty birdies or little houses for your plant pots.
Message me if you’d like to join me between 1-3pm on 1st October.

Suitable for all 12+ years
Day 10/100: Quite a flock of ombré birdie beads today!
Day 9/100: Channelling Autumn vibes this afternoon with today’s ombré birdies. They need a bit of finessing, but that’s for tomorrow.
I decided this morning that last night’s birdies were just too plain. So now they have a bit of bling and wings. Also added holes so they can be strung as beads.
Wanna learn how to make them? Visit me this week at Silverstone Methodist Chapel as part of Northants Open Studios.
