Yesterday our Year 6 children invited Virgin Money into school to learn all about finance and budgeting. They learnt the difference between spenders and savers.
The children also signed up to a “Make your £5 grow” scheme where they came up with some wonderful ideas of how to invest their £5. They will write a business plan and over the next few weeks purchase materials and put their plans into action. The task that their group have decided on with be made/implemented and there will an opportunity to come to school on Friday 12th July to purchase or take part in their ideas. They will repay the £5per child back to Virgin Money and the profits will be spent on what the Year 6 children collectively decide on prior to the end of term.
More Information will follow shortly with what will be available on the day.
This is a great opportunity for our Year 6 children to learn how to budget and make a profit before they go out into the big wide world.
Please support them on 12th July 1.30-4pm
Many thanks to Virgin Money for taking the time to share their knowledge with them.
We look forward to welcoming them back In the new year to present a whole school assembly. Virgin Money UK

Phil is now over 70 miles. His target is to reach 100!! Let’s give him some encouragement and donate on his just giving page. Every penny goes towards helping to enrich our children’s Stanah experience 🚴 🚴
Keep going Phil, you are going to smash it 😀😀

Please support Phil in this exciting experience to raise money for Stanah Primary school. Please see the link below to donate. Please read Phil’s story below 😀

So Stanah Primary School has given both my son’s Jasper and Jacob the best start to life and educational journey. Jasper now in secondary school was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be Stanah Guardian which really pushed him and and gave him the confidence to develop. As for our pocket rocket Jacob, Stanah has helped him flourish and build his confidence, he loves coming home telling us about what he’s learnt that day and we love to here how passionate he is about his learning. With this is mind I have thinking about what I can do to thank the school for their support and this is what I have come up with, 6.5 hours continuous spinning in the school hall. I will be doing this on Friday 15th March. Please help me raise a little for this amazing school.

Who wants to be a Rock Star? 🎤🎸🎶

Yesterday at Stanah, we had the pleasure of inviting Rock Steady into school.
During our assembly, Jacob told us all about the different instruments that could be played in a rock band before heading to our workshops.
As you can see from the photos, some children had the opportunity to be a part of their own band and were brilliant at their roles! We even made our own Stanah Staff Band.

Thank you to Mrs Dempsey for arranging this fantastic experience.

🎸🎤🎶

The children were an absolute credit to the school and were praised for their maturity throughout the show.

Well done to our outstanding children- another great performance and more memories made!

Just some clarification regarding our coin trail event, which starts today 😊

1. All PTFA events are completely voluntary
2. The aim of this event is to collect any spare/loose change, such as 1p, 2p, 5p etc
3. There is no expectation for bags to be full, any donations are gratefully received
4. All children will participate in the trail itself
5. The winners are the class who have the longest trail, not who collects the most money
6. The prize mentioned is relatively small and was introduced to make it fun and more of a challenge
7. All money raised from PTFA events go towards enhancing and enriching all of the children’s education, through additional resources and experiences

Thank you
Stanah PTFA

We’re launching an exciting new event this week!
See our flyer for more details 🪙💰

And it's the longest trail not the most raised that wins! So get creative and think of which are the biggest coins! 😀😉

Last night, 26 of our Stanah Showstoppers joined nearly 9,000 children at the AO Arena in Manchester to be a part of the biggest choir in the world! What an amazing experience it was!
We danced and sung our hearts out for 6 hours! Hopefully this will be an experience that the children will remember for the rest of their lives and as one of our songs, was the 'Greatest Day.'🎶 Their behaviour was impeccable throughout- well done Stanah!
A huge thank you to the staff for supporting this event and to the parents for your support too.

💙💙Last night, six sensational Stanah dancers took part in the Wyre and Fylde Dance Competition at the world famous Tower Ballroom Blackpool. Through the power of dance, they performed a powerful message to their audience. The judges praised them on their balletic elements and how well they worked together as a team of 6.
A huge Thank You to Miss Crozier for choreographing the routine and supporting the children through this event. What an amazing experience for the dancers. Well done to you all 💙💙

On Monday, something very exciting happened at Stanah! 🔴🔵🟢🟡

Before Christmas we launched the Elmer trail to the whole school. 🐘

After some very tough decisions, 30 children's designs were chosen to create our very own Stanah elephant to create part of the trail.

Miss Harrison had the pleasure of announcing the winners in assembly and with the help of Mrs Robinson, the children of KS1 set to work with their paints and paint brushes!

We had some very excited children and one child even said "This is the best day ever!"

The remaining winners will be able to create their designs onto the elephant and we can't wait to show you the finished product.

Look out for our naming game which is to be announced by the School Council next week 🐘🟢🔵🔴🟡

Todays whole school assembly focus had a 'music' theme. We had a special visitor - Colour Sergeant Simon Moore who is in The Band of The Grenadier guards. Simon spoke about his role as an army musician and the events he has taken part in such as the Kings Coronation playing for artists such as Olly Murrs and Take That and for the Queen's funeral as a state trumpeter. The children asked some interesting questions about his career in music. Thank you to Mrs Dempsey for arranging our visitor.
