Totally unique and one of a kind. I loved his style. Short and deadly staccato r&b riffs machine gunned from the the stage. I’ll miss him. I still miss Lee.

My wingman is gone!
A monstrous force who occupied an area on stage massively bigger than his physical self.
His two biggest loves were his guitars and his motor bikes. He rode both with exuberance, confidence, and a ‘f**k you’ arrogance that I will always envy. For me that Gazza sound merged with his Triumph/Yamaha million cc or whatever motorbike that he had.
As he switched on the ignition and drove through “Neon Heart’’ or cranked up the gears and strode forward for that killer solo in “Looking After No.1” I would watch and admire. This is when I felt utterly in sync and at home with my wingman and friend.
We both loved The Boomtown Rats and the sound that comes from it . This was OUR bond, and I will forever cherish and miss it.
Garry. You lived life on your terms. I’ll desperately miss you and there is now a big black hole that will never ever be filled.
