Happy Jubilee weekend lovely people 🎉👑🇬🇧 Not really a royal theme but as the Queen loves horses, here's one I made at the beginning of this year for an equally as wonderful lady (who happens to be a fabulous dressage trainer should any of you ever need one!!!) 🍒🇬🇧

Gosh, February already! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas although that now feels like years ago! I've had to take some time off due to personal reasons and for the same reasons I will not be taking any orders for the foreseeable future. However, please do get in touch should you need a cake as I have a couple of excellent caker friends that I will always highly recommend🎂💗 In the meantime, you'll be shocked to hear that I still have lots of photos to get up on line 🤣 so for your viewing pleasure, I'll get on that asap!!! A caker friend of mine recently had a comment that her cake was too expensive. "But it's just a cake"... I too have just had one of these comments after I gave a quote. Ce la vie! Everyone has a budget!

However, this cake is a prime example of being not "just a cake". Admittedly it's a wedding cake so definitely something special (and one of my favourites to date 😍) and obviously in my eyes, every cake should be special! But what you are actually paying for, in this case, is the initial design time and thought process, the hand-made matching figures on the board, the hand-made cupcake boards to match the theme, the flowers, the toppers, not to mention the 10+ hours of hand painted Disney and Marvel characters on the back!

So no, it's not just a cake! It is years of knowledge and skill, coupled with hours and hours of love, sleepless nights, patience, time, art, creativity and hope that everything will turn out perfectly just for a cake!

Anyway, rant over!!!

❤ Massive congratulations to Amy and Jordan who got married back in May and, as you can see, love not only each other but Disney and Marvel as well! Their 'hidden' cake was a true pleasure to create especially the Lion King side which shows baby Simba in the corner, a nod to the birth of their baby boy 💙 Complete with vegan and gluten free cupcakes and a pair of fabulous personalised cake forks from Say In Silver (find her on Facebook or Instagram, she's amazing!!!)❤🍒

Lincoln loves Thomas and especially tunnels so what better way to celebrate your 3rd birthday than with a tunnel cake and some trains to steer through it!!! 🍒

Random fact for today, did you know that trainee PARA's are all called JOE? It stands for Joined On Enlistment and dates back to 1942 when army volunteers transferred and had their papers stamped with J.O.E. ♡

We all know how far behind I am, so here's some cupcakes for my daddio whose birthday was back in May. All made by Baby Bomb (who lovingly calls the patriarch "Nev" rather than the traditional grandad etc!!) ❤🍒

46 years ago my mother finally agreed to go on a date with my father (after months of him asking and bribing her with sweets!!!), he knew she was The One!! Their first date was at a Halloween party, 2 months later she agreed to marry him and they tied the knot 5 months after that! A lot of people said it would never last, one said they'd eat out of tins and live in two rooms for the rest of their married life, many thought mother was pregnant... ah the great shocker of '76 when I wasn't born until '79 🤣

46 whole years on and the pair of them are still together with more rooms than two, still massively in love with each other and still driving each other mad!! For me, this cake is a reminder that true honest love, laughter and happily ever after does exist ❤ And that bribery works every time 🤣

I for one am forever pleased that mother gave in all those years ago 😍🍒

So, skipping forward 6 months and jumping on the Squid Game bandwagon with today's cake! A Squid Game guard/soldier head for one of my oldest buddies, Dave. Actually love this cake ❤ (2nd pic for reference incase any of you haven't seen the plot twist destruction that is Squid Game!!!) Happy Sunday peeps 😊🍒

Howdy all!! It's all been a bit surreal here at HQ for the past couple of weeks with BB testing positive with the dreaded virus and us having to lock the doors for the obligatory 10 days :-( However, she is now on the mend and so here is a happy cake from back in May (yes I know, still slacking with the uploads!!!) of Spongebob and Patrick not only celebrating Harry's 21st birthday but also the ending of BB's symptoms and our incarceration!!
