We are delighted to announce that Juliet, our CEO, has been shortlisted in the Northern Power Awards as a Disruptor for Good.
This category is in memory of the phenomenal Dr Jane Turner OBE who sadly passed away in 2021.
The awards celebrate the achievements of women in the north to instigate change and from a nomination list of 1,400 it is a huge accolade to be on the final list.
Thanks to Kim McGuinness, Police and Crime Commissioner, for the nomination in recognition of the work that Juliet leads and Feeding Families does.
The awards take place in Manchester on 18th March.

The Bright Lights programme offers young people an insight into the retail and hospitality sector through employer visits, employment workshops and work experience. The aim of the programme is to develop skills and knowledge to prepare the young person to work confidently in the sector. The aim is to prepare participants for the recruitment process and ensure that they have skills to maintain sustained employment.
Course dates 12th September - 13th October - in the management suite at Teesside Park - 10am-2.30pm
Employability
The students will work with Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation staff to develop and improve their work-based skills, prepare, and update their CV, identify and develop transferable skills and undergo interview training and partake in mock interviews. The aim is to prepare participants for the recruitment process and ensure that they have skills to maintain sustained employment.

Work Experience
Each student will have a dedicated work placement with an employer at Teesside Park. We identify work placements based on their skills and interests and match them to a suitable employer.
Students will complete a 2-week placement, consisting of 20hrs per week. These hours will be determined by the employer to suit the needs of the business and will be decided prior to placement allocation. (25th โ 6th October)
Many of the employers will have seasonal vacancies, with the potential for suitable candidates to secure employment.
