The Factory venue lives up to the name as it is situated on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Barnstaple, North Devon.
The large airy auditorium has a raw industrial feel as the new music venue is situated within a large warehouse building. Mr Kyps Live Music are very saddened to receive the news that The Factory will not be reopening following the covid-19 shutdown.
We would like to reassure all patrons who have purchased tickets 🎟️ for any of our below listed events, that we are currently in talks with an alternative venue in Barnstaple, in order to move these events.

After much deliberation and with huge regret, following the prolonged closure of The Factory (due to Covid), we have taken the difficult decision to not reopen the Factory for the foreseeable future.
If you have booked a ticket for a forthcoming event we will be in contact shortly to provide you with information about the refund options available to you.

Our Story
North Devon’s biggest live music and entertainment venue
The Factory venue lives up to the name as it is situated on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Barnstaple, North Devon. The large airy auditorium has a raw industrial feel as the new music venue is situated within a large warehouse building.
The live music, arts and entertainment venue boasts a spacious main auditorium with a standing capacity of 800, complete with in-house Opus sound system and full lighting rig.
The Factory is available for both public and private hire. The Factory is an extremely flexible and unique space, so the perfect choice to host all types of events.
The Factory is home of Petroc’s Music Performance and Music Technology department. Maximizing the hands on approach and training in a professional working environment for all Petroc Creative Industries students.

Recording Studio
The Factory recording studio is located within the heart of The Factory venue.
We work hard to provide one of the best equipped recording studios within the North Devon area, making it accessible for anyone to hire.
We strive to offer our clients the best quality recording in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our team of experienced engineers are extremely passionate to produce the perfect sound for each individual recording session.
The studio main recording platform is Pro Tools HD with a range of plug-ins or alternatively Apple Logic. Teamed with the professional SSL Matrix digital desk delivering premium quality audio. Full range of microphones and outboard available.
We have a large network of professional session musicians at hand.
The Factory recording studio is available for external hire at the following rates:
£150 per 8 hour day session
£80 per 4 hour evening session

Rehearsal
Here at The Factory we have four professional sound proof rehearsal booths. Each rehearsal booth is complete with backline equipment.
Backline provided includes:
Pearl Export drum kit with hi-hat and 2 cymbal stands
2 guitar amps
1 bass cab
200W active monitor
4 channel mixer
2 microphones
2 microphone stands.
The Factory rehearsal booths are available to hire at the following rate:
£25 per 3 hour session.
