Just collected some bluebell seeds for my friend Sonya and added a little floral tag to the seed bag ready to send off to her

I think I’ll make some more and sell on my website 🌺😻

So this morning i've done a make over on a business card idea for Millie - not sure if she had it made on line or if she created it herself, the first is what she supplied, then I've offered a tidier version and an alternative, which do you like best?

Upholstery project #3

Stupidly forgot to take my fabric to finish my blanket box, but at least I’d snuck another chair into my car just incase.

So here we are with the next project. A quickie…. This one is in the throws of being Barbiefied 💖and its twin sister is going to get the Wednesday Adams 🖤 treatment …

Barbie has got a lovely voluptuous seat now - all nice and squishy, next is her wood makeover, then some classic Barbie fabric and of course a bit of sparkle

Yesterday was an interesting day for me. I went to do my best daughter duties and take my mum for some lunch and appointments and saw a little face looking at me from the side of the road

I turned round, pulled over and picked up this beautiful bird, that I thought was a baby red kite. He was very soft and docile. I popped him in my boot on a soft bed and drove him to tiggywinkles

Parked up and opened the boot slightly to see how he was and there he was all angry, wings spread and beak open like he wanted to peck my eyes out! I got the nurses and they came and took him out, turns out he was a buzzard!

Back to reality today, got 3 wedding table plans to make and 6 coasters and one badge.

I went to pick up a chair to upholster and the lady I got it from has asked me to upholster her DFS blanket box/footstool using some curtain material she had

Today I have been stripping… wow what a lot of staples and I’m about 3/4 of the way through. I hope to finish this whole job on Friday and start project #3

Lesson #2
Padding out the seat and the chair back so it has a nice little belly.

I got the fabric in the week. The back of the chair is grey velvet from an upcycled curtain and the cute bee 🐝 fabric is an off cut from tillynilly in Thame

I’m just in the midst of adding the seat fabric now that I feel confident to do it at home, then over the weekend I’ll touch up my paintwork and seal with a Matt varnish, ready for the next stage… piping & fabric covered buttons

I can hardly believe the transformation of this chair in just two lessons 😻

I’m thoroughly enjoying this course run by a really lovely lady called Maria who has a wealth of experience Ginger and Pickles Interiors

Next lesson on Friday so I’m painting this little beauty flint grey before I get to add the fabric and piping …. I’m taking my mum with me so whilst she’s looking at clothes I’ll be looking at fabric, hope I find something I like as no time to order any to be delivered …. I think I’ll design my own for the next project.

Mr F&D picked up 4 other chairs for me to progress onto. Including learning Buttons, webbing & make a wing back chair more elaborate

So today I made a retirement gift for one of our amazing Thames Valley Police force, and thank you to the lovely Sarah at Print World Uk for helping me get this ready so I could hand deliver this to my customer on time for this evening’s presentation 🚔👮‍♀️👮‍♂️🚓

Unfortunately, due to scammy types that like to duplicate business pages, and cause all kinds of bother to the people who run them, I’m not going to be running a gift away this year because I don’t want to risk that headache 😞
BUT because I do like give back and say thank you I have been giving away the occasional gift, free postage and or discount throughout the year!
This little robin is one of those and is going to a home this weekend! 🥰
I plan to pick another gift recipient next week!
