Our Riding Club is affiliated with British Riding Clubs open to both adult and junior members.
Membership with Tyne and Wear Riding Club
We are a riding club based in the North East. We are quite an active club hosting on average 4-6 ridden clinics per month. We use a verity of instructors and use regular instructors as well as mixing it up. Our clinics take place across a wide area and our regulars include:

Somerford Park Farm is a horsey paradise in Congleton, Cheshire.
Tyne and Wear Riding Club are hosting a residential camp in May 2024 which is now open to non-members. We have 6 remaining spaces to offer on a first come first served basis. If you aren't a BRC member proof of insurance is required.
Arrival: Tuesday 28th May 2024 from 1pm
Departure: Friday 31st May 2024 before 12pm
💷Total cost for non TWRC members: £365.
£100 non-refundable deposit will secure your place with the remaining £265 being due 6 weeks before camp.

What is included?
🍛Meals (breakfast, lunch and tea)
🐴A secure stable for your horse inside our designated stable block consisting of 26 monarch stables.
🐴2 bales of shavings (option to purchase additional shavings)
🐴 Quality haylage which has been produced onsite
🚿 Use of pavilion with facilities which include (toilets, showers and kitchen space)
👩🏫 4 lessons - private flat with Jake Taylor. Group XC with Cathy Taylor and semi private SJ and grid with Mary Thelwell
🚜 Unlimited access to the Somerford Park Farm famous 7mile farm ride on any of the 4days at camp!
🌳Use of the 80-acre cross country course
📸 Camp photographer (Konnor Wells Photography) with digital copies of all your photos for personal use. There may even be some XC footage by drone
Additional Information
🛍Hope Valley Saddlery is onsite and within walking distance of camp for anyone wanting to enjoy a bit of retail therapy.
🛌 For sleeping arrangements, many people choose to camp in their horse boxes or trailers (hook-up available at extra cost).
Options to hire tents which will be already set up and include an air bed,
Option to book a glamping pod which are only a short stroll away from the stables. Somerford Glamping Pods - £125 for night one then £100 per night thereafter. Please contact Somerford directly to book and pay.
Also, an option to stay off-site in local B&B’s.
Under 18s welcome but must be supervised at all times
Horse will need to have up-to-date flu vaccinations. Passports with proof of vaccination will need to be emailed to secure booking and must be available upon request at any time of venue.
To gain access to the cross-country course you will be required to have an A BETA Level 3 body protector displaying a Blue 2018 Label.
No dogs allowed!

Nicola was an international event rider and part of the Team GB squad. She’s a London 2012 Olympic Silver Medallist, and was European Individual Champion 2021 – 2023. She has also been a member of several Gold Medal winning World and European teams.

Our club also regularly takes part in BRC qualifiers and competitions with both individuals and teams competing on behalf of the club at all ability levels.
Further to this we also have our overnight camps planned for 2024 at both the famous Somerford Park Farm and Titlington.
BRC are currently setting up a new online portal for memberships so we will shortly be posting details on how to join our club ready for 2024!
