Back to work 😃
Back to work 😀
To all our Patients.
We hope this finds you and your family in good health. You may have heard recently from the BBC news that dental practices may reopen from Monday 8 June. We too found this out in the exact way, no warnings
However, our practice has been working extremely hard through this pandemic to ensure everyone’s safety on reopening. This has included strengthening our infection-control protocols and procuring additional PPE to allow both patient and staff safety. These have been updated so that you receive care that is both safe and comfortable
In order to have everything in place safely and in time, we have decided to reopen on Monday 22nd June. We wish to make clear for the safety of everyone, the treatments you are offered shall be limited for the time-being. We will only be able to see a restricted number of patients per day. We will therefore be limiting our services initially to strictly emergencies only. We will continue to have an on-call dentist available via telephone consultation. It will take some time before services return to what you previously experienced as normal. We ask that you please be understanding of the situation
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming routine. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same; our commitment to your safety
We look forward to being able to make you smile again 😀

Thank you to Amelia for sending us this video to brighten up our day!! 😃 National smile month is a campaign we love to take part in every year!
We are supporting National Smile Month because a healthy mouth means a healthy body
In order to help reduce the strain the NHS and the 111 service is currently under we will be continuing to provide an emergency telephone triage service over the bank holiday.
Our lines will remain open as follows:
Friday 10th April 9am - 12.45pm
Monday 13th April 9am - 4.30pm
*We are only able to provide this service to registered patients only*
We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter
🌈
Following the latest guidelines the surgery is now closed.
We will no longer be seeing urgent appointments. Instead we have in place a telephone triage system which will help us assess whether you need to be seen in an urgent clinic.
Our team of receptionists, dental nurses and dentists will continue to work hard to help ensure any patients that are in pain or need to be seen urgently can be referred appropriately.
We thank you for all your patience and understanding whilst we are all doing what we can to stop the spread of the coronavirus. A reminder to everyone that staying at home will help to save lives.
We look forward to opening our doors again soon ❤️
We have had some difficult decisions to make over this last week. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic we have had to put the safety of our patients, staff and families/friends of utmost importance. We will no longer be seeing routine patients and are now limiting appointments to true emergencies only. If you have an appointment booked with us we will be contacting you shortly to postpone treatment.
Please follow the government advice strictly and limit social distancing. Together we can stop this virus spreading ❤️
Our dentist discussed the importance of maintaining good oral health with the pupils today
The pupils were taught how to brush their teeth correctly for the recommended 2 minutes! With the help of the brush DJ app and the baby shark song we were able to demonstrate to the boys just how long 2 minutes is! 🦈
The pupils were quick to get on their feet and dance! 😃
Brush DJ is a brilliant app designed to encourage children to brush their teeth. It has been approved by the British Dental association and we really recommend it if your struggling to help your child brush their teeth!

We would like to welcome Elisse to our dental team here at Hick Lane. Elisse is a fantastic dental nurse with a very, kind caring nature!
Today we visited the Darul Arqum pre-school in Batley. We were invited as the children this term are learning all about their community! Our nurse Laura spent time with the 2-3 year olds and they loved listening as she taught them the importance of looking after their teeth 🦷 This book is a perfect introduction to the basics of toothbrushing! The children certainly enjoyed it 😃
One of our Lovely talented patients has hand knitted these beautiful dolls for us! We will be holding a raffle where one lucky patient will get to take them away with some dental goodies! All the money raised will go to a special charity! ❤️
This week we will be starting a collection for . Any kind contributions would be really appreciated! Our collection point will be at the front of reception 😊
