Always nice to receive a lovely appreciation letter from our friends at The Great North Children's Hospital in response to our Christmas appeal where we donated £3000 worth of gifts to the kids who'll be spending the festivities in the wards this year!

CHERISHED MEMORIES 💍

A few weeks ago we were asked by the very talented Phil Punton Photography if we would be able to provide a wheelchair accessible vehicle to be used by a very special couple to renew their wedding vows. When we delved a little deeper we realised just how much of a big deal this was to both Peter and his wife Joanne after the Wallsend couple were given the devastating news that Peter has terminal cancer.

So when Phil asked us if we could take them to for the ceremony we jumped at the chance of helping the pair, on us of course, so we enlisted the assistance of one of our accessible drivers Brian to transport them to and from the venue and as you can see both Peter and Joanne looked stunning as they showed their commitment to one another in a very special place for them both.

Our Nearby North Tyneside Manager Sarah added "As soon as Phil got in touch with me regarding providing transport for Peter and his family there was no hesitation, at Nearby community spirit is everything and we were very honoured to help make a family wish to renew their vows and make amazing memories."

Thank you Phil for the beautiful photographs, you really did the couple proud!

It's lovely when we receive such amazing feedback about one of our drivers and that's exactly what happened today when we received some lovely words from one of our customers Natasha.

Natasha had to take a trip to Cramlington Hospital on Saturday and wanted to thank Mark our driver for the way he distracted her from the severe pain with her leg, turns out it was a fracture and we hope you're doing well Natasha.

MUDDY BUDDIES FOR CANCER RESEARCH 💜

Cancer affects us all in one way or another either directly as a patient or indirectly to those family and friends affected by such a cruel, cruel disease.

So we're so proud when a trio of our lovely team members, SJ, Abbie and Becca decided to step up to the challenge and will be taking on the Cancer Research UK Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k event on Saturday 8th July on Newcastle's Town Moor.

So were asking for your help in supporting our girls in raising as much money as possible to help combat this life changing condition and hopefully one day we will live in a Cancer free world where no one should have to suffer again.

Please give as much as u can but we know in the current climate not everyone can afford to give but even if you could share the post it would mean a massive deal to the ladies and their heartfelt efforts.

As the World watches on this terribly sad but historic occasion we give thanks to the late Queen for her rule and guidance in both the UK and the further Commonwealth and we remember her life and the events she led us through as our Queen and leader.

But we remember also as well as leading the nation she was also a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother amongst others and for this we send all our thoughts, love and prayers to her immediate family including the King, Charles III.

At approximately 11.55am this morning as last post is called we will be observing a two minute national silence, we hope you can join us as the United Kingdom and the World unite in love and remembrance of such a very special lady the likes will never be seen again.

At peace with Prince Philip now, the World mourns your loss Ma'am today and always.
