We're back at Holmewood House School, Tunbridge Wells this summer with our cycle activity courses!
Children from the age of 7-9 who are already riding without stabilizers can have great fun developing their skills and confidence to Bikeability 1 level. If the weather's fine, we also get off the tarmac and get a bit more adventurous with our new skills! (we're happy to accept children in year 1 going into year 2 in September)

Hi folks, Learn to Ride lessons are starting back in Robertsbridge on Saturday 10th Feb. Due to inflation and business costs I'm afraid we've had to put up our prices from 1st February. £45 for one child and £65 for two children. Bike hire will be £6 per lesson.

A successful few afternoons at half term delivering Learn to Ride lessons at Holmewood House School, Tunbridge Wells. Once pedalling, we don't just stop there, but use games and activities to develop braking and steering.
Some lovely comments from these twins parents after the first lesson " Thanks for today, the girls had a great time and came away feeling ‘proud and happy " Then after the second....." Thank you so much to you and Nicky for this afternoon, both girls are delighted they’re now independent in their bikes - so much so that they got out of bed at 7.45pm and asked to go on a bike ride!! 😊

Did you know there are over 12 million unused kids bikes in the UK?
Our ReBikes exist to try and reduce that number going forward. When a child grows out of their bike, it is sent back to us where our brilliant mechanics refurbish it into a ReBike, ready for another child to enjoy. Even better... they're cheaper than subscribing to a new bike but function the same!
1️⃣The bike is assessed - although most bikes pass the checks, those that don't are recycled for usable parts.
2️⃣The bike is thoroughly cleaned with eco-friendly products.
3️⃣First the frame will be checked for damage, and if it is good to go, all the other parts will be inspected and replaced if necessary.
4️⃣Paint chips are always going to happen (they're kids after all!), however they are difficult to restore so these are left but do not impact the functionality of the bike.
5️⃣All ReBikes are quality checked and then they are good to go!

This is a brilliant method for children who are really nervous and it's the way we teach at CycleSafe. However children can struggle with moving the bike along initially with their feet if their bike is heavy and this is an important step to develop balance and confidence.
At CycleSafe we have invested in lightweight Frog and Forme bikes to hire out for our lessons. So if you're child is struggling to learn on their bike, come and have a lesson or two with us. Once they're riding, they can ride anything.!

My aim is to encourage more people to cycle, more often and more safely – but most importantly to share my passion for cycling!
My name is Denise and I was born and bred into a cycling family, cycling became a natural and big part of my life and gave me immense freedom, joy, health and fitness and a great social life. This is what I would like to share with you.
My teen years were spent cycling with a cycling club in Tunbridge Wells – a youth club on wheels! Local rides every weekend, trips away to explore our great countryside and later on to cycle tour overseas.
In my early 30’s I joined Kent County Council as a Cycle Instructor, going to local schools to deliver cycle proficiency courses to year 6 children.
